Peaking out from the redwoods
Since the OWS movement has started, the conversation has shifted from the debt and deficit to JOBS and income inequality. Even the unctuous little twerp, Eric Cantor and the Budget Munster, Paul Ryan have been discussing income inequality. That can only be seen as a victory for the OWS movement.

Another victory for OWS comes from Bank of America who have decided NOT to charge people a ridiculous fee for using their debit cards.

Keep the pressure on!!!

Yeah..seems to be.

Hopefully they will quit the park soon. Because it looks as if Bloomberg is going to quit it for them if they don't leave.

How Did Occupy D.C. Protesters Respond to a Table Full of Job Applications?

The news media watchdog Accuracy in Media (AIM) released a video Wednesday that may denounce the notions from some that the Occupy protesters are primarily concerned with jobs.

In it, “head hunters” set up a table full of job applications near the protest and start offering them to protesters. But the reception they get, according to the video, is less than warm. To many, that might seem odd considering the protesters have camped out in our nations capital for over a month following the Occupy Wall Street protest that began on September 17, partly because of no jobs. Accuracy in Media put it this way in a written statement:

“After more than a month of protest demands for better employment opportunities and benefits, Accuracy in Media saw fit to test their desires with…employment applications. Our ‘headhunters’ were treated to every excuse as to why these jobs aren’t good enough for them. We guess middle management opportunities with healthcare and 401k benefits aren’t desirable anymore.”

BoA changed their minds due to OWES? Link?

Oh, ok, so their goal was not to improve the lives of the 99% but to deflect from the very real issues to a socialist agenda. And there was me beginning to believe the 'their not puppets for Soros'.

after watching that video, I am even more convinced these OWS protestors are just a bunch of complete fools, who saw a different bunch of fools sitting around 'protesting' and said, 'Yeah, this looks like fun.'

Yeah OWS has got people talking however they weren't responsible for BOA's change. I am glad people are still paying attention to the horrible bailouts/stimulus plans as a result of the OWS' protests.

BOA's change was due to bank of america's customers, like me, cancelling their accounts, other BOA customers threatening to do it, and BOA's competition deciding NOT to charge the accounts.

Capitalism is what got BOA to change its plans because they had to deal with their competition.

No, they have found that setting fires and vandalism work much better then doing the nine to five.

Just watch, Kiddies...this is the part where the OWS protestors keep pushing the envelope trying to get all the "freebies" that they think they deserve. It's about to get ugly...REAL ugly.

Oh, here's the link. As suspected, OWES didn't have anything to do with it.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Bank of America said Tuesday it was canceling plans to implement a monthly $5 fee for debit card accounts.

"We have listened to our customers very closely over the last few weeks and recognize their concern with our proposed debit usage fee," bank Co-chief Operating Officer David Darnell said in a statement.

"Our customers' voices are most important to us. As a result, we are not currently charging the fee and will not be moving forward with any additional plans to do so," he said in a three-sentence company statement.

Change.org, a political action group, claimed credit for the bank's decision, saying, "300,000 people from all 50 states joined a viral campaign on Change.org started by 22-year-old Bank of American customer Molly Katchpole.

"Citi, Chase, Wells Fargo and SunTrust all dropped debit card fees after Molly's popular campaign inspired others to launch similar campaigns on Change.org against their banks," the group said.

Change.com quoted Katchpole as saying, "I knew that if enough people expressed their outrage to Bank of America, they would have to listen to their customers and reverse their debit fee plan.
