Don't fall for it

As a person who has a great love of history, this is actually much more interesting to me than the simplicity of the post might proffer.

Historically, Division among the ranks was the Achilles Heel of the Democratic Party. Gays vs. Minorities vs. Unions vs. Environmentalists vs. Women vs. Atheists and so on... If Ralph Nader didn't win, the environmentalists became apathetic. If a candidate was pro-gays, they lost the minorities - and so on.

Now it's the GOP who is cannibilizing itself. You've got the Tea Party dictating one agenda, Santorum pissing off every Conservative who is not a Christian Evangelical and of most ostensibly, the Extreme Right Wing forcing Romney into saying things that will kill him in the General Election.

Whereas the Democrats, be they gay, minority, union, environmentalists, women or just Moderates, are uniting to make sure of one thing: None of the Republican whackjobs currently running gets elected.
