It isn't the responsibility for the NRA to protect anyone. It is up to the PEOPLE who put their children in those schools to have the proper security provided so their children wont be a victim of liberalism. There are many special interest groups that lobby for their interests. Why people believe blanket statements like "The NRA owns Congress" is absurd. The millions of NRA members are also voters, and politicians need to keep that in mind. That gun manufacturers use the NRA rather than their own corporate lobby might be unusual, but I doubt it.
This is a way to deflect responsibility from the do nothing decisions of each and every member of Congress. Blame it on a boogey man, the NRA. Fuck the NRA. Take their money and then do what is right. What are they gonna do? Give you a B- on your next report card? Oh well. A bunch of OTHER people might vote for you, though, for trying to fix this messed up situation. It will even out in the end.
