The primary benefit of OLED displays over traditional LCDs is that OLEDs do not require a backlight , and consume less power during operation. OLED displays are expected to be more efficiently manufactured than LCDs and plasma displays.

I usually wait for 3 or 4 generation. I haven't seen them in PC monitors but they should be PC ready.
