The New York Times on the Last Taboo... Naked 5 Year Olds...

I thought it was a good question, and one I hinted at in my original comment.

I doubt we'll get an answer.

It's a Dishonest Question...

Ask the New York Times and other Liberal Rags and Elites in the College Realm why they are always Publishing Stories, Writing Papers and giving Lectures on these "Taboos"?...

This is a New York Times story from Today, Headlined by MSN.

Stop attempting to make my Observation of the News into something it is not.

:)

peace...
It is quite easy to figure out why the NY Times ran this and many of their stories. It is to 'desensitize' the majority of those who read their rag. I am quite certain that they beleive they reach 90% or more of the population and so they believe that thy are making formerly taboo subjects, the norm.
Children being naked is generally the norm. It's only those who see them as sexual objects that need to be covered up who are trying to make it a taboo.

Really?

I have been to so many malls, stores, retailers, discount stores, grocery stores, parks, etc., etc. and what is NOT the norm is to have children running around naked in them.

How many children do you see going to your public library without clothing? How about the elementary school? I have yet to see any naked children in any of those facilities.

Are there any running around in your state capital? How about in your state legislature? The movie theaters? Cafes? DMV?

You know what? I was just in Baskin-Robbins the other day. No naked 5 years olds were to be found.

None in the Dunkin Donuts I was at this afternoon. I stopped in a gas station to fill up My car and I didn't spy a single naked five year old anywhere.

If its is so normal, how come we don't see them everywhere?

Ah, that article talks about young children naked in those places you mentioned? I don't remember seeing that...time to re-read.

How is that?

The discussion is, "is it normal for five year olds to be naked".

It is not normal. Plain and simple. Do they sometimes take their clothes off. Why, yes they do. And the parent is usually right there to hustle them off to get re-clothed.

But in fact, My point was that the NY Times posts these kinds of articles in order to desensitize the population to normally taboo things. If it wasn't taboo for five year-old children to run around naked, we'd see them everywhere. Which we don't.

And the last time I went to brunch with My in-laws they didn' bring any naked five year-old's with them.

It talks about five year old children being naked as normal. clearly, it is not normal. If it were, you would see them in the places I mentioned.

Children being Naked is the Norm?... Maybe in a Liberal Commune.

I have a 1 year old and an almost 4 year old and Naked time is when Changing or Bathing...

Sometimes the older will run through the House, but it's not a Bad thing, nor is she told to Stop...

Outside, if she Stripped Naked and Decided to be Naked an Eatery, we would put her Clothes back on her or leave.

I don't Remember the last Time I saw one Child, aside from my own, Naked.

Our Contemporaries are Parents with Babies and Children our Age, and at the Learning Center our Daughter goes to, which is Large, I don't believe I have EVER heard of, and Certainly NEVER seen any Children running around Naked in that Facility...

Where the FUCK do these Liberals Live?...

Point of Reference, the DNC had their Socialist Parade here for Barry last Summer at Mile High...

There were ALL Kinds of Families, Children etc... I bet there wasn't ONE Naked Child running around there, and I was around for some of the Socialist event, because I am a Denver Native... I actually have a lot of Pictures from the Event, and not one Naked Child... Sorry Liberals. :(

Naked Children... The Norm?... Fucking Liberals are some Sick MotherFuckers.

That's the New Standard for Liberals here...

The Norm = Naked Children... Liberals Circa 2009.

Who the FUCK is implying that children should be naked or should be allowed to be naked in any of the above locations???

I have seen no evidence that anyone has explicitly or implicitly stated that nakedness in the above locations is acceptable. Maybe it said it in your linked article, but the link is no longer valid so I can't read it.

If your child was to strip naked in an eatery, I think it is your (or anyone else's) duty to clothe them or leave. It doesn't necessarily need to be a law as I don't see it as a rampant problem...but maybe it does need to be a law.

Nudity at a beach is the only place in public that I would allow a child 3 or less be naked.

Where did I read that?... Oh yeah!

Children being naked is generally the norm.

So you conclude that ALL liberals want children to be naked in
malls, stores, retailers, discount stores, grocery stores, parks, public librarie, elementary schools, the state capital, state legislature, movie theaters, cafes, DMV, and eateries based on a single sentence written by Anguille, which says no such thing?

Wow! You are far dumber than you look, which I didn't think was possible!

:clap2:Congrats, Anguille! You are the new worldwide spokesperson for ALL liberals (per order of tha malcontent)! Whatever you say or write, will be THE OFFICIAL LIBERAL POLICY...no questions asked. You can change any of your policies at any time without conferring with or notifing anyone else. It will be our responsibility to read all of your messages and blindly follow them.

I suppose I'm old fashion, I taught mine to keep their clothes on at an early age. Temper tantrums were not acceptable. For the grands it was no tantrums in the house. When they arrived at gran's house after mom got a divorce every "no" was a screaming fiasco. I wold kick them out of the house when the did that. Told them go scream at the birds and grass outside but it would not be tolerated in the house. Many children have very few manners these days. Parents that are not teaching their children at a young age are not doing them any favors.

Manners are always a must. Tantrums should never get them what they want. No disagreement there.

But I fail to see the harm in a young child being naked in their own home, or especially in the case of those living out in the country, away from other people, being outside without clothes.
