The Muslim Brotherhood

Quick history lesson.
The US armed Iran when the puppet king was in place. That turned into a mess a few years later.
The US armed Iraq when that country started to fight against Iran - We know how that turned out.
Egypt made a peace deal with Israel and, guess what, the US armed that country to the teeth.

Now the Muslim brotherhood, a party with the sworn aim of destroying Israel, looks very much like it's about to gain power.

Drrrrrr. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out what could very well happen next.

Iran, a country run by a government that is completely bonkers, has massive land forces and China is assisting it with air power, SAM and IT.
Several other regional powers have a fair fighting force as well.
Turkey, if dragged in, has very capable US supplied, air power.
None can defeat Israel alone but a combined force could make a serious mess even if it lost.

They've tried that a couple of times before. Didn't really work out well for them.

Arming various countries and starting a load of wars hasn't exactly been great for the US.
How many US dead in the US started wars since 1945?

I'm not anti US but your governments over the last few decades have been bloody idiots.

What country are you from? indonesia...

Muslim Brotherhood ‘Crucifies’ Opponents

Originally published by the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

Last week in Egypt, when Muslim Brotherhood supporters terrorized the secular media, several Arabic websites—including Arab News, Al Khabar News, Dostor Watany, and Egypt Now—reported that people were being “crucified.” The relevant excerpt follows in translation:

A Sky News Arabic correspondent in Cairo confirmed that protestors belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood crucified those opposing Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi naked on trees in front of the presidential palace while abusing others. Likewise, Muslim Brotherhood supporters locked the doors of the media production facilities of 6-October [a major media region in Cairo], where they proceeded to attack several popular journalists.

That there were attacks and violence—both in front of Egypt’s presidential palace and at major media facilities—is well-documented. An August 9 report by El Balad, a widely read Egyptian website, gives the details:

Last Wednesday, August 8, “thousands of the Muslim Brotherhood’s supporters” attacked 6-October’s media facilities, beat Khaled Salah—chief editor of the privately-owned and secular Youm 7 newspaper—prevented Yusif al-Hassani, an On TV broadcaster, from entering the building, and generally “terrorized the employees.”

no

You took a long time to answer that...lol

How stupid are you?
I'm in Indonesia so my bed time isn't the same as yours and I don't spend all day on the internet anyway.

As for the reporter, if you can't name the invisible man or aforementioned pimpanel, perhaps you can link to his story on Sky news.

Edit - I feel the references mentioned in my above posts may be way too subtle for an idiot to understand so I'll link.

Muslim Brotherhood Mobilizes for Hamas

November 15, 2012
By Ryan Mauro

Israel has finally struck back against the terrorist enclave of Gaza after having 120 rockets fired at it since Saturday and over 700 this year alone. For now, the Obama administration is rhetorically supporting Israel, but the Muslim Brotherhood government in Egypt is doubling down on its support for Hamas, Gaza’s ruling terrorist organization, and has withdrawn its ambassador to Israel. U.S.-based Islamists and their non-Muslim allies can be counted on in the ensuing days to pressure the administration to throw Israel under the bus in favor of the Islamist rulers of Egypt. If Egypt takes action, the administration will have to choose between its relationship with Israel or its relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood. There is no middle ground to straddle.

The Israeli Defense Forces struck 100 terrorist targets, and the Iron Dome missile defense system took out 28 rockets before they landed in Israel. The campaign began with a precision strike on a car carrying Hamas military chief Ahmad Jabari, the mastermind of the 2006 kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. Video of the strike shows it was designed to minimize civilian casualties. The IDF tweeted, “We recommend that no Hamas operatives, whether low level or senior leader, show their faces above ground in the days ahead.” Israel is also threatening a ground operation into the Gaza Strip.

Hamas says the initial strike “opened the gates of hell” and it will fight back. With about 35,000 fighters, that’s no idle threat. Senior Hamas leaders say they are considering firing long-range rockets at Rishon LeZion, a city 7 miles from Tel Aviv. They are also contemplating carrying out suicide bombings and assassinations and are in talks with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and other Gaza-based terrorists like the Popular Resistance Committees and Palestinian Islamic Jihad about their response. The involvement of the latter is significant because its alliance with Iran remains solid. The relationship between Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran has been strained because they are on opposite sides in Syria.

The Coming Sharia State of Egypt

November 26, 2012
By Theodore Shoebat

Egypt has now a modern pharaoh, named Muhammad Morsi, and with him as the sole ruler, the country will ultimately become an official Sharia state. Sharia is already enforced to some degree, but now that the Muslim Brotherhood is expanding its power, it will implement the edicts of its constitution, the Koran, to is fullest capacity.

This is was foreshadowed months ago when counter-revolutionaries were crucified in front of the presidential palace, since these type of executions are demanded in the Koran where it states that:

“The punishment of anyone who fight against Allah and His apostle and do mischief in the land is to be killed or crucified or to have their hands and feet from opposite ends or be banished from the land.” (Quran: The table spread)

Muslim Brotherhood Puts Jordan in the Crosshairs

December 5, 2012
By Ryan Mauro

In March, the Dubai police chief warned that the Muslim Brotherhood had a plan for the Gulf monarchies. Instead of regime change, it would make them “figurehead bodies without actual ruling.” That’s exactly what the Muslim Brotherhood is trying to make happen in Jordan by demanding “democratic” reforms. And King Abdullah II appears to be wobbling under the stress.

King Abdullah II, the second most influential non-Islamist in the Muslim world, is hinting that he may bow to the Muslim Brotherhood’s demand that he delay the parliamentary elections scheduled for January 23. He is even considering appointing Brotherhood members to the upper house of parliament and amending the electoral law to their liking.

The Real Mohamed Morsi

January 7, 2013
By Arnold Ahlert

A video disseminated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) should blow a giant hole in the fantasy the Obama administration refers to as their Muslim “outreach” initiative. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi is shown in 2010 delivering an anti-Semitic diatribe, during which he referred to “the Zionists” as “bloodsuckers,” “warmongers,” and “the descendants of apes and pigs.” He also called for “military resistance within the land of Palestine,” further noting that the PLO “was created by the Zionist and American enemies.”

...

Yet reality has intruded. The videos released by MEMRI cannot be easily dismissed–unless a mainstream media that has shown a remarkable incuriosity regarding anything that interferes with the “Arab Spring narrative” is willing to once again give President Obama a pass. One might be forgiven for wondering if the administration’s fallback position here will be the idea that Morsi has “evolved” since 2010. In one sense they would be right. Morsi has indeed evolved. He and his Muslim Brotherhood associates now represent far more of a threat to Israel and the Middle East than they ever have. It remains to be seen if Obama will further enable them with military hardware. If he does, Americans should brace themselves for a possible future of war between Egypt and Israel — with both sides using weapons supplied by the United States.

Muslim Brotherhood Sets Up Militia to Enforce Rule

March 21, 2013
By Ryan Mauro

fighters-on-truck_2293205k-600x350-450x331.jpg

Protests against the Muslim Brotherhood continue to rock Egypt without a word being said from the White House. Now, the Brotherhood and allied Islamists are taking a cue from their Shiite counterparts in Tehran and have announced they are setting up a civilian force with the power to arrest those they deem to be criminals.

The Muslim Brotherhood first hinted at setting up a militia on December 16 when Vice Chairman Essam Erian of its Freedom and Justice Party said it needed defenses in the wake of clashes. “They would have defended themselves in front of the presidential palace and killed the other [anti-Brotherhood] protesters,” he said. At around the same time, Jama’a al-Islamiya threatened to set up a pro-Brotherhood militia to “protect private and public property and counter the aggression on innocent citizens.”

The Brotherhood and Jam’a al-Islamiya have announced their intention to set up a joint civilian police force with other Islamists. The Brotherhood and its supporters point to Salafi groups like Jama’a al-Islamiya as proof that they are comparatively “moderate.” This Islamist relativism is a defining feature of the Obama Administration’s foreign policy. Yet, here we have the Islamists coming together for their common Sharia cause in recognition that their differences are nothing compared to those they have with the secularists.

The Muslim Brotherhood Has Turned Cairo Into A Dystopia [PHOTOS]

Robert Johnson | May 23, 2013

When Egyptians took to the streets to overthrow an oppressive government in 2011, the world was on their side.

But in the two years that followed, as Arab Spring turned to Arab Winter, and Egyptians fell under the rule of the oppressive new government of Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood, the world has looked away.

This is what Egyptians told us when we visited Cairo at the end of March 2013.

Many disillusioned Egyptians say things are worse than ever. Thugs often run the streets, crime rates have skyrocketed, and police feel they're outgunned, faced with the flood of weapons filling Cairo's streets.

Making matters worse, everything from utilities to gasoline is both more expensive and more difficult to acquire than it was before the Muslim Brotherhood.

Muslim Brotherhood Out, Killing Christians In

July 11, 2013 By Raymond Ibrahim

copts.jpg

“In scattered locations across Egypt,” wrote Morning Star News, “mobs of hard-line Muslims enraged over the deposing of the country’s Islamist president [Muhammad Morsi] this week attacked Christian homes, business[es] and church buildings and were suspected in the shooting death of a priest.”

None of this should come as a surprise. As Gatestone Institute reported right at the beginning of the June 30 revolution, anonymous “letters addressed to the Copts threatened them not to join the protests, otherwise their ‘businesses, cars, homes, schools, and churches’ might ‘catch fire…. This message is being delivered with tact. But when the moment of truth comes, there will be no tact’.” Several popular and influential Brotherhood leaders and supporters made the same threats, including Sheikh Essam Abdulamek , Dr. Safwat Hegazy , Dr. Wagdi Ghoneim, and Sheikh Abdullah Badr.

True to their word, now that Morsi and the Brotherhood have been ousted, Egypt’s Christians are being heavily targeted by Brotherhood supporters.

A Jihad to Free Morsi?

July 23, 2013 By Ryan Mauro

morsi2_2257836b-450x333.jpg

Hamas has issued orders to free former Egyptian President Morsi and other Muslim Brotherhood prisoners in Egypt, according to a letter allegedly written by the terrorist group’s military wing that was published in the Arab press. The stated end goal is “establishing an Islamic Caliphate;” a goal that can only be achieved by wiping Israel off the map.

A copy of the document was translated by an Egyptian-American source. It was originally published on July 14 by an Egyptian newspaper named El-Fagr, or “The Dawn.” The news agency says it was given the letter by a source inside Egypt’s Defense Ministry. It is dated July 10, 2013 and is a declaration of the Hamas military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades. It carries the watermark of a Colonel Sabry Yassin.

The Face of the Brotherhood Enemy

August 5, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield

For over a hundred years, European and American cities were dotted with cells of left-wing radicals, Socialist and Communist groups who infiltrated more mainstream organizations, assassinated public officials, organized violent protests and detonated bombs in public places.

It was the fear of this churning red enemy that Karl Marx described in the opening of the Communist Manifesto as the specter of Communism haunting Europe.

The red cause has since gone mainstream and its bomb-throwers have become the establishment. The old radicals are parliamentarians and ministers, they head up NGOs and oversee newsrooms. They no longer haunt Europe; instead they rule Europe.

Today a new specter haunts Europe. Unlike the specter of Communism, it isn’t much spoken of and when it is mentioned, it is reduced to vague descriptions that fail to describe, like “Violent Extremism” and “Islamic Radicalism”, implying that the problem is a handful of men in a basement somewhere.

...

As the Obama administration sticks to its policy of aiding Muslim Brotherhood takeovers in the Middle East, using political Islamist governments as a supposed bulwark against Al Qaeda Islamic terrorism, The Brotherhood: America’s Next Great Enemy reminds us that Al Qaeda would not exist without the Muslim Brotherhood.

...

The great tragedies of the twentieth century occurred because of the long delay in recognizing the terrible menace of the rising evils of Nazism and Communism. The Muslim Brotherhood may emerge as their historical counterpart if the free men and women of the twenty-first century do not wake up to the next great enemy whose soldiers already walk our soil and whose leaders give orders in Washington D.C., London and Berlin.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s Definition of ‘Legitimacy’

August 8, 2013 By Kyle Shideler

Following the ouster of Muslim Brotherhood leader and now former Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi the Muslim Brotherhood has conducted a propaganda campaign aiming at establishing themselves as the “legitimate” rulers of Egypt, wrongfully overthrown.

Indeed the very word itself, “legitimacy,” has been central in the Brotherhood’s protests and in their media outreach. Pro-Morsi activists have organized around “The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy.”

In the West, this battle of words has been interpreted primarily within the context of U.S. law and the question of whether U.S. aid to Egypt must be severed following the Muslim Brotherhood’s overthrow. Indeed, the American discussion of whether Morsi was “legitimate” has revolved almost entirely around the question of democracy and his election (which may very well not have been as fair or free as advertised). U.S. officials halted a shipment of F-16s to the Egyptian government in July, something they had aggressively refused to do during Morsi’s rule despite reports of attacks on Coptic Christians and secular activists, and the existence of Muslim Brotherhood torture squads. The British government has also halted arms exports.

In an Islamic context, however, the Brotherhood’s insistence that they represent “legitimacy” carries with it a different meaning. As the New York Times notes, the Ikhwan are encouraging their supporters to use “legitimacy” as code language:
