The movie "Soldier" was actually a BladeRunner movie? Anyone know about this?

Cruising around youtube this little video popped up. Did anyone who is a fan of BladeRunner know that the Kurt Russel film, "Soldier" was set in the BladeRunner world? That his character was essentially a replicant?

Interesting, but replicants (as per Blade Runner) are produced full grown. There is no evidence within Blade Runner that they experience childhood, and with a four-year lifespan that would be unlikely in any case. Also. it would be impractical economically, when you could simply gift the Replicants with an implanted childhood memories as was done to Rachel.

Peoples merely lifted a few references from his earlier script.
