This is the evolvement of the grandest thing man has ever made and built and it is incredible.

We can see the evolvement as the different configurations have been added making it a space borne home for the rest of us. It has gone to having 110 volt solar panels, to 220, 440, and finally 660 volt. This is so that the shuttle and any Russian or Chinese orbital vehicles can recharge their own batteries while in space and use the said vehicle while there as another work module.

In the first photo, is the first module, launched and deployed by Space Shuttle Endeavor in 1998.

We can all be proud of this most amazing achievement, as a country, as a nation and as a species, since everyone on Earth, all countries are involved with this.

No doubt, the ISS's environment is amazing. There are some important news of ISS like A NASA astronaut, a Mars rover "driver" and a space suit designer joined more than 1,000 middle school students in Long Beach.

Not by us, sadly, but by the whole contributing consortium of countries that are involved with ISS now under NASA oversight and engineering. Probably the Russians or Chinese. That is just a guess though.

The Democrats are too timid to launch anything that might cost any money not somehow related to jobs, and all too many Republicans are simply anti-science. Please note, I said all too many, not all. Many conservatives here are fully cognizant of the role that science plays, and must play, in all our lives.
