The more "selective" defenders of liberty?

FOGGY IN NOLA LIMBAUGHS: "What liberty is more basic than that of economic liberty? To keep the fruits of one's labors?"

..

...get math, you squawking parrot republican cheerleaders:..YOUR great big stinking phony hero REAGAN FACILITATED A DOUBLING OF "THE BUDGET" AND A TRIPLING OF "THE DEFICIT!"

..(not that you republicrat dumbasses understand either 'the budget' or 'the deficit'...as they are 'measured' in the illion$ of 'dollars'..and you republicrat folks are worse than stooooooooopid when it comes to the basic realities of even one 'dollar') ;)

...the rest of you, have a good day!..

I think there are probably a lot of us who know enough about "budgets" and "deficits" that we know for sure there are no Money Tree Farms anywhere on the planet. What happens when all the monetary resources dry up and there is no more to spend and waste?

Who tends to be more "selective" in their defense of individual liberty, liberals or conservatives? :eusa_think:

Please discuss and provide examples.

Both parties are fairly equally full of beans.

Neither of them defend liberty, they defend the rights and privleges of their class

...as one wag puts it, "most/all republicrats THINK they know how 'dollars' originate..they think 'the treasury merely prints them'.....of course, in reality, these/you republicrats are fucking clueless..."

...face it, you republicrats are butt-ignorant when it comes to even the basic realities of your stinking rotten money (issuance, etc.) system...

...republicrats don't even know what IT i$ they want!.. ;)

..have a good day!..

Neither and Both.

Let's look based on Rights in the Constitution.

For the First and Second Ammendment:

Both sides have selective applications of the First Ammendment. If you're facing free speech issues, you can have no better friend than the ACLU. However, if you're facing issues related to gun control the ACLU will tell you to get lost. At least the NRA is a bit more honest. They tell you outright all they care about are 2nd ammendment issues.
Both sides selectively thumb their noses at Freedom of the Press. If you're having religious issues its all a crap shoot. There are plenty of organizations dedicated to protecting various religious rights, some non-partisan, some highly partisan.

The Third Ammendment is a non-issue now.

The Fourth Ammendment is often trashed by whichever side is in power during a crisis.

The Fifth and Sixth Ammendment is split. Emminent Domain issues tend to be addressed by Conservatives, but due process issues are often most heavily defended by Liberals.

The Seventh Ammendment is thrashed equally in efforts to court big business and the campaign money it brings.

You can make a case that the Eighth and Ninth Ammendment are a Liberal's bread and butter as that involves the Death Penalty, Torture issues, etc as well as potential rights concerning Marriage and Privacy. This comes up later again later.

You can again make a case that the 14th, 15th, and 24th ammendments are a Liberal's mainstays as they tend to support a widespread vote population and have become champions of racial issues.

Hmmmmmm......

In summary it looks like Liberals tend to support the rights as laid out in the Constitution, but I'd be open to more debate on it.
