we really need the ''fairness doctrine'' applied to cable media as it is with broadcast tv news...imo.

if it was applied, they would be forced to cover each sides view, with facts presented, and actually let you decide based on the facts and views presented....

As it stands, you have your news, in your media sites/channels, and we have ours, on our media sites/channels....

The fairness doctrine was overturned by the FCC in 1987. The FCC discarded the rule because, contrary to its purpose, it failed to encourage the discussion of more controversial issues.
