The Max Planck Institute says Alarmist Scenarios are unrealistic

Yes, but can old Max do this with tree rings?

"The climate is quite temperamental: countless factors are involved and many feedback mechanisms enhance effects such as the anthropogenic greenhouse effect. This makes it difficult to make predictions, especially as many processes in the Earth system are still not completely understood."

Yeah but why should that stop Climate "Scientists" from conclusively saying your SUV is melting the polar ice caps?

It's all about time course, NOT the science. Of course your SUV could melt the ice cap. it's just a matter of when. The science even in the posted article is unassailable. If GHGs get high enough, warming is inevitable. Though it IS only one factor in climate, that DOES NOT mean it can't be the determining one.

Yes, if you refuse to read the article and then continually assault every climate question with the sure knowledge that AGW is the one and only cause of change, I can see how you can come to that conclusion

What is being said is that precipitation plays a larger role than previously thought, compared to temperature. And they note new methods of study. Nowhere was there a claim about 'alarmists', or, for that matter, 'skeptics'.

Just good straight science, something Frank is incapable of understanding.

A new balance for the global carbon balance

Researchers determine how rates of photosynthesis and ecosystem respiration depend on the climate in order to obtain a better assessment of the consequences of climate change

Climate predictions could become more accurate and more reliable in the future - thanks to new findings on the role of terrestrial ecosystems in the global carbon cycle. International teams of researchers headed by the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena now present comprehensive data analyses in two related studies. The analyses also lead to more precise estimates of how the ecosystems could react to climate change. In most ecosystems, the photosynthesis rate at which plants fix carbon dioxide from the atmosphere changes relatively little as temperature varies. Over 40 percent of the Earth’s vegetated surface reacts very sensitively to changes in the amount of precipitation, however. The respiration of the ecosystems, when flora and fauna release carbon dioxide, also increases to a lesser extent than has recently often been assumed when the temperature rises. Moreover, this temperature dependence is the same all over the world - even in ecosystems as different as the tropical savannah and the Finnish needleleaf forest, for example. (Science Express, July 5, 2010)

Our faux geologist also seems unable to understand this article, even though it is non-technical, written for the intelligent layman.

I understand that EnviroMarxists such as yourself will ignore the highlighted sentence from the report since it is an iceberg to your ManMade Global Warming Titanic.

many feedback mechanisms enhance effects such as the anthropogenic greenhouse effect

LOL, Dude!!! You point out one sentence that doesn't discount AGW theory at all, merely the timecourse, and hope we completely miss the sentence that explains why there's concern in the first place!!!

Once again Frank clearly demonstrates his total inability to understand what he reads. One wonders if he understands the meaning of the word enhance.

And, once again, Ol' Walleyes actually posts an article that states AGW is real, and a real concern, then states that is says just the opposite. One wonders what the hell this fellows reading comprehension is.

Comrade! I am merely pointing out the errors of your way!

You cannot have "Setteled science" and a system that has many processes that are still not completely understood. -- they are mutually exclusive! Surely, Comrade, even a Super Genius such as yourself can see that!

So far there has been no measurable effect from all of the nasty CO2 we inject konrad old boy. But those pesky little inconsequential volcanoes (which you folks deride as having no effect at all) seem to have immediate and long lasting effects. Hmmm, seems to me you should rethink your theory a tad.

Naaaaahhh that would make your brain hurt!

The Planet warms and the Planet cools. Modern Humans will have to deal with this just like their ancestors did. All this fear mongering Doomsday stuff really is pointless & a bit stale too. Adapt or go away. It really is that simple in the end.

Obviously it is far superior to yours old fraud. I actually read the WHOLE thing, I didn't just skim it (maybe that's your problem? You only know how to skim articles so don't fully understand exactly what is being said) and fully comprehend its meaning.......unlike yourself as you clearly demonstrated for the class to see....GOOD JOB:clap2:
