In the Year of our Lord? Really? FUCKING REALLY bigrebnc1775? Anno Domini?

Yes it does.

Is this some sort of revelation on your part? That the only mention of God in US Constitution is in the Date Format?

While I am pleased that the Lord is referenced in the Constitution, it 'is' simply a reference to the Gregorian calendar... commonly used since about 800 AD.

Does this somehow tie in with the content, purpose, or origins of the Constitution, or the mindset of it's creators?

People say God or the LORD which also refers to God many times in the Bible is not mentioned in the Constitution Well here it is.

No, the "Year of our Lord" is mentioned. It's a common year designation for the times.

How much of a stretch are you willing to make this, and what is your fucking point?

I don't beleive in the Christian/Muslim/Jewish God. Does that mean every time I use 2012 or any date I'm actually affirming a beleif in God?

No one is forcing you to believe in anything. But the fact is the LORD is mentioned and it was our LORD and his year that was specified.

It doesn't specify which Lord they are referring to?

It very simple to understand what LORD they were talking about. What was the predominant Religion of the Founders of America? How many of the Founders were muslin?

I think most of them were Freemasons and I don't know who they worship because it is a secret.
You think? The founders didn't think to have a Congressional Freemasons did they? No they had a Congressional Chaplain of a Christian faith would you agree?

Well, that clinches it. We must be a Christian Nation after all. When are we going to spend more time healing the sick and caring for the poor?

It doesn't seem very "Christian" to spend more on war than anything else.
