CDZ The Little Ice Age Has Begun - What Should We Do?

Deniers have been predicting this imminent ice-age non-stop for the past 40 years (deniers like to pretend it wasn't themselves making the cooling predictions). That ice age never arrives. In contrast, during that same time frame, the real scientists were predicting warming. They were proven to be correct. That's why climate science has such credibility. It earned that credibility through 40 years of getting everything right. And that's why denialism has zero credibility, because it's gotten everything wrong for 40 years. If deniers want credibility, they need to make predictions and see them come true.

So, I see some deniers here are stating positively that things will start cooling immediately. That's good. At least they're mustering up the courage to take a stand.

However, we know how this turns out. It keeps warming strongly. In a couple years, we ask the deniers why the cooling didn't happen, and they yell "Next year! You wait and see!". They've been moving those goalposts for 40 years, and aren't about to stop now.
Actually it was YOUR hero's who told us that the world was cooling back in the 1970's, then they said no it's warming, then when the pause hit they changed to climate change (because lets face it, the climate is ALWAYS changing), and when that didn't pan out so good they changed it again to "global climate disruption" because they figured that they could blame any old storm on it, and they have, the problem is the storm frequency has DROPPED....oooooops.

So no, the only people who are provably hysterical are your hero's who have a fantastically bad prediction rate.

But thanks for playin!
LIAR!
Go home until you come up with something more substantial than a juvenile invective.
You first HYPOCRITE!!!
You lie like the best of them but the problem is you're bad at it.

Is there spittle clinging to your chin there? How about addressing what I am saying instead of merely screaming and covering your ears.

Actually it was YOUR hero's who told us that the world was cooling back in the 1970's,

No, almost all of the 1970s cooling papers come from Dr. Reid Bryson, who was one of the most hardcore deniers until he died. The CIA paper you like to show was entirely based on Bryson's bad work, as was the media hype. Meanwhile, most everyone else in the science was predicting warming. The good scientists have been consistently right in predicting warming for 40 years now, and the deniers have been consistently wrong by predicting cooling all that time.
Oh? you forgot Paul Ehrlich already? I can see why you would....

And where exactly in that quote is there a reference to CO2?????
If you weren't such a lousy LIAR, you would have seen the cooling was due to pollutants, which time has shown are no match for offsetting the effect of CO2.

The Earth entered a little Ice Age phase beginning in 2014-2015, which will last into the 22nd century. The Earth has gone through many such phases; reduction in solar activity has led us to another.

So, how should we respond? Given that offshore oil supplies will be increasingly less accessible due to ice, we should build nuclear power plants as quickly as possible.

“The New Little Ice Age Has Started.” This is the unambiguous title of a new study from one of the world’s most prestigious scientific institutions, the Russian Academy of Science’s Pulkovo Observatory in St. Petersburg. “The average temperature around the globe will fall by about 1.5 C when we enter the deep cooling phase of the Little Ice Age, expected in the year 2060,” the study states. “The cooling phase will last for about 45-65 years, for four to six 11-year cycles of the Sun, after which on the Earth, at the beginning of the 22nd century, will begin the new, next quasi-bicentennial cycle of warming.”

Habibullo Abdussamatov, the head of space research at Pulkovo and the author of the study, has been predicting the arrival of another little ice age since 2003, based on his study of the behaviour of the Sun’s different cycles and the solar activity that then results. His model — informed by Earth’s 18 earlier little ice ages over the past 7,500 years, six of them in the last thousand years — led to his prediction more than a decade ago that the next little ice age would occur between 2012 and 2015. Unlike the global warming models of scientists, which were soon disproved by actual measurements, Abdussamatov’s models have been affirmed by actual events, including the rise of the oceans and the measurable irradiance sent earthward by the sun. This record of accuracy — which he has repeatedly demonstrated in studies between 2003 and now — leads him to now confidently state that in 2014–15, we began our entry into the 19th Little Ice Age....

Buy stock in big oil, LL Bean, and Carhart. After that, go buy a big SUV (for the global warming effects), re-insulate your home, and buy lots of winter clothing. Oh, and plant as big a garden as you can, then can the produce for future use, might as well buy stock in Mason Jar Company while you're at it.

In all seriousness though, really not much. Expand efficient energy sources as needed (which we already do, mostly), maybe move a little further south, and try to "ride it out". It will pass, and most, if not all, of humanity will survive. We, as a species, have been through this before, and we will get through it again. This time though, we have much better technology!

The rest of the world is doing what we should be doing but, in the US, money talks. And money is a lot more important than saving the planet for future generations.

Except - I'll never figure out the middle class yahoos who blindly side with 1%'ers. They know they're screwing over their own kids and g-kids but they just don't care.

That's how King Trumpery got elected.

Yes, the only way to save the planet is to waste money on unreliable "green" energy.

How does any of the above 9 pages matter, truthfully? One of two events will happen on a cyclic basis, it will get warmer or it will get colder. Live with it! Follow the trends and again, live with it.

Newer designs for nuclear reactors are much safer and cleaner:

"Even a human engineered breach (such as a terrorist attack) of an MSR cannot cause any significant release of radioactivity."

Molten Salt Reactors: The Future of Green Energy?

And this from the folks at MIT:

Safer, Cheaper Nuclear Power

Again based on a molten salt reactor design.

I, for one, wouldn't mind a bit of warming actually, It was -37 this morning! That is f****ing cold, for you southerners. But, hey, Whatever happens, happens. I've got plenty of warm clothes and a couple vehicles that can handle the cold, so I'm good. Produce might get a little spendy though.... LOL
This whole "climate change" thing is just one big joke to me. I mean really, WTF can we do about it anyway? Move? No one really knows what is going to happen, the best anyone can come up with are computer models based on "historical" data that is based on limited experience, guess work, and assumptions.
