The Liberal Version of Civil Rights

1.Hmmmm….the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Colorado baker, who declined to use his facilities to promote gay marriage.
I have often been disappointed in the Court’s decisions…..but not this time.

2.Based on his religious beliefs, the baker said he couldn’t participate in the celebration of the marriage of two same-sex individuals.

3.The Justices determined that the foaming-mouthed rabid Liberals on that Colorado Civil Rights Commission had pretty much decided that the baker had no civil rights when it came to his conscience.

4.As is so often the case with Liberals, the Colorado Civil Rights Commission carefully and sympathetically took the rights of the gay couple into consideration….but were dripping with contempt when it came to the right of the Christian folks.

5.There are all sorts of examples of the Liberals/Progressives treating the First Amendment like a doormat, specifically the free speech portion….but this corrupt ‘Civil Rights Commission’ treated the part about the free expression of one’s religion in the same fashion.

6. “Freedom of religion and religion has been used to justify all kinds of discrimination throughout history,” said Colorado Civil Rights Commissioner Diann Rice, “whether it be slavery, whether it be the Holocaust, whether it be …” Here she trailed off.

“We can list hundreds of situations where freedom of religion has been used to justify discrimination,” she picked up again. “And to me it is one of the most despicable pieces of rhetoric that people can use to — to use their religion to hurt others.”

Given the prevalence of this anti-religious attitude, it was heartening to see that three of the Supreme Court’s five most liberal justices — and seven justices in all — not only rejected Rice’s view, but actually found its utterance during Phillips’ legal proceeding to be clear evidence of the show trial’s unfairness. The Phillips ruling had to be thrown out, seven justices decided, because no reasonable person could defend the promulgation of such ignorant anti-religious bigotry in an official setting."

DENVER, CO—In a change designed to make their mission more transparent to Colorado citizens, the state's Civil Rights Commission updated its mission statement Thursday to read simply "DESTROY JACK PHILLIPS."

The agency vowed to pull back from its efforts targeting actual discrimination and instead "go nuclear" on Phillips and his business.

"We're dropping the pretense that our focus is on consumer protection and illegal discrimination," Commissioner Anthony Aragon said in a statement. "Frankly, our entire job is just to get Masterpiece Cakeshop to close its doors as punishment for Mr. Phillips' stubborn insistence on living out his faith."

"We want to send a message that you can't sincerely live out your beliefs in the public arena and get away with it, and we'd love to make an example out of Mr. Phillips as a warning to others," he added.

The commission also called for more gay, transgender, and non-binary people from all over the country to come to Masterpiece Cakeshop in order to be discriminated against. "We're having a tough time finding actual people coming to Masterpiece in good faith in order to find a cake that Mr. Phillips refuses to bake, so we need to hire victimized groups to show up to Masterpiece and then file a lawsuit when he won't bake a cake that's offensive to his religious beliefs."

do YOU support gay marriage?

or do you agree with foaming-mouthed rabid Conservatives like Roy Moore who said he would criminalize homosexuals?...

your posts always seem to be dripping with contempt for anyone who isn't a deranged right wing conservative.

I ask because you are clearly deranged, mud.

Do you know that to be a real American, one must be conservative?

I may not put it the same way, but I certainly agree with the sentiment.

…this was an attempted coup, as the House Intelligence Committee memo makes clear. These banana-republic thugs were trying to overthrow a duly elected president of the United States.

The Daily Mail sums it up pretty well: “FBI Memo reveals James Comey used dodgy ‘golden showers’ dossier to get Trump team surveillance warrant even though top officials KNEW it was paid for by Hillary and British spy who wrote it was desperate to keep him out of office.”

In case you’ve forgotten, Comey told a Congressional committee last year that the fake dossier was “salacious, unverified.”

But he used it anyway, over and over and over again. His fired No. 2 corrupt G-man, Andrew McCabe, whose wife took $700,000 from Clinton cut-outs in 2015, said under oath that the fake dossier was the only “evidence” the crooked feds had to get court approval to surveil Trump’s campaign.” Carr: Memo makes clear that there was an attempted coup

The dossier, the surveillance, the FISA warrants....this was what Strzok meant as his 'insurance policy' against the American President.
