The left wing and the right wing have something in common. They've both gone bat s..t crazy

Both ends of the spectrum are currently under the control of their wings. That ain't good...

Bernie and Trump aren't under the control of "their" parties, I would say that's a very good thing

And the corporate party (with the democratic and republican wings) is getting desperate, if only the peasants could see reason and select a Bu$h or Clinton instead everything would be fine....

I completely get the frustration that both parties have with their status quo.

But I think we're in the "you've gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet" phase of all this, wherever it is we're headed.

Things will probably settle down at some point, but holy crap, this is pretty crazy.
.

I'm not sure why you think things are going to settle down.

Generations of propaganda have convinced the Democratic Base(s) that this county is a racist hellhole and that all their problems are caused by White People.

White people are increasing getting angry over being blamed for crap that has nothing to do with them and being punished for it.

As power shifts more and more to the delusional side of that equation, the strife will only worsen.

Enjoy the wonderful Civil Society you have now, because these are the Good Old Days.

I'm so glad that you aren't consumed by things concerning race.

I just described the, imo, primary process of what is tearing this country apart.

YOur response, as always, is content free assholeness.

I strongly recommend a hobby of riding a motorcycle without a helmet. Go feel the wind in your hair.

Holy crap, if this is "civil", I'd hate to see CRANKY!

My point exactly.

I think you need to make a distinction between the parties and the voters, the parties are quit happy with the status quo and would do anything to maintain it. It's the voters that are frustrated with the clowns that the parties want them to vote for.

For the left wing of the Democratic party, Bernie offers a huge serving of red meat. For the center, Hillary has some broccoli.

I don't know what is going on in the GOP. Didn't they used to have a libertarian wing?

Yes. I know that was your opinion. You believe that the division between the races is so severe that it will tear America apart. At the same time, you think the 1950's was a time of great cohesion. It's awesome.

The freak out is awesome.

Bernie Sanders is slightly to the left of center. Let me ask you a simple question.

If Bernie Sanders were to become president and get his policy regarding college education passed by congress.....would a person who goes to college have to pay for it?

Think first. Then answer.

Sanders is "slightly" left of center?

Well, the way the Democrat party is heading, I guess Socialism is only slightly left of them. A couple years down the road, a known Communist running for the nomination will only be slightly left of center by then.

As for all the people that think Free Stuff isn't all that bad of an idea, just think who this clown would put on the Supreme Court if given the chance.

You did not answer the question.

Some are, some are not. Neither party can be painted with a broad brush like that. Many Democrats are voting for "establishment" Hillary, many Republicans are voting for "establishment" Kasich, Bush, Christie.

Both parties have two parts: More moderate, less moderate wing. The wings are having the most success right now, for sure.

There might be nothing more going on here except Celebrity vs. Neighboring State...

Or maybe people are just fed up with conventional politicians who can't get the job done. They are tired of gridlock, they are tired of problems not getting solved.

The interesting thing is my brother, the Union thug likes both Bernie and Trump.

And I guess the op is claiming they are the sane and responsible one? who goes around saying bat shit crazy? they are the ones I've seen Freaking out on here all the time. lol

So let's move on to the Reich wing.

Er... you could have done without the Nazi reference.

No the Reich wing fits perfectly.--The Reich wing needs to understand also, that this country is center, always has been, and always will be.

Sure, comparing them to Nazis who slaughtered 6 million Jews makes you sound smart. The country being "center" is not in dispute.

The bigger question is... just what about the Republican Party reminds you of Nazis? Are they genocidal? Do they send death squads throughout the American countryside killing gay people?

Do you grasp the magnitude of the comparison you make?

Have you seen a Trump Rally?--it reminds me of watching the rise of Adolph Hitler when he gave a speech. Angry-ignorant-violent people bent on identity politics and who doesn't belong.
Column: Trump exploits rational political ignorance

Watch this entire video--and the noise from this crowd in South Carolina, as this Muslim woman was being escorted out. That's HATE--simply because she is different than them.

You had 3 candidates Ted Cruz, Bobby Jindhal & Mike Huckabee that attended a rally in Iowa--where one of the speakers were actually calling for the execution of gays. That's hate.

It is early days... All are idealistic in the early days...

But there is a possible 4 SC Judges to be assigned in the 8 years and Democrats could have a Liberal court for a Generation. Pragmatic is good for Dems...

I don't think the Right has cottoned on to this yet... The next President will fight with Congress and Sente like the last... Fillibuster all the way... But SC Judges can change thinks

But hey man--it's all that free stuff.

Dude, let me explain how free stuff works.

You allow mortgage companies to loan money to anyone with a pulse.

And then you take those loans and sell them to Wall Street.

And then Wall Street creates a casino with those loans, turning them into a complex universe of securities and derivative.

Win win! The mortgage company gets mega-profits from fees, and Wall Street makes trillions selling garbage products across the globe.

And then when the Ponzi scheme collapses, you foreclose on the middle class homeowner, while you bailout the Wall Street crooks.

In a capitalist system where big corporate profits find their way to the pockets of politicians, only one thing is certain: the subsidies and bailouts and free stuff always goes to the wealthy private sector who finances our elections.

The myth that the Democrats give free shit to the non-wealthy is overshadowed by much larger handouts to corporations.

Whoever occupies the White House is merely an ATM for the corporations and wealthy private sector individuals who invest heavily in our government and media. The welfare that goes to our Free Market geniuses (the ones whoGreenspan praised for creating innovative ways to finance a home) will always Trump the paltry outlays for food stamps.

Turn off FOX News. You've been lied to.

You completely dodged the question. The one critical aspect of the Nazis that made them the scourge of mankind was their propensity to kill people who were different than them. If you want to get down to the nitty-gritty, Islamic Jihadism reminds me more of Nazism than Donald Trump or the Republican party does.

I might add that your innate hatred of Republicans leads you to compare them to Nazis, yet your only two candidates are self evowed Progressives and Socialists. You use the guilt by association argument to paint others as undesirable (or Nazis in this case). You are dishonest.

Trump has white supremacists supporting him, does that make him one? The Black Panthers support Democrats. Does that make them Black Panthers? No, of course not. Such is an absurd charge borne out of political biases and not out of this reality.

Trump got this far because Congress will not control immigration and the GOP in Congress for the most part (with some exceptions) has asked 'how high" when BO said jump.

Ha.Ha. if Bernie Sanders by some remote miracle became President--both parties would unite against him, tie him up--tape his mouth shut and throw him in a closet for the next 4 years. NOW there you would finally find agreement and consensus between Democrats and Republicans on the hill--LOL
