A century of progressive governance has produced exactly the results that the progressives purport to oppose: an enormous concentration of wealth in the hands of a small percentage of society and a few large firms dominating every economic sector. What a joke...and the neoconservative right does the exact same thing. Someone tell me again why people still believe there is a difference between the rep and dem establishments? Can someone say...oligarchy?

Similarly, we've had 45 years of LBJ's so called 'great society', the goal of which was to eliminate poverty and racial injustice.

After decades and trillions of dollars spent, poverty is up 2%...but the Black man is thriving, right? :eusa_eh:

At what point do we begin to think that maybe all this government meddling is going more harm than good?

RACIST!

This Presidential campaign cost around 2 1/2 billion bucks and most of that money was financed by the very very rich on both sides. Yes we are very much a country with a bi-partisan oligarchy. The power the middle class power bloc used to have is shrinking quickly.

What a pile of ignorant Pubcrappe. Pubs have dismantled the Great Society since Nixon, and it's reaganist /Voodoo tax rates and policy since 1980 that have ruined the nonrich and the country. Read something fcs. See sig pp1 and change the channel, dupes.

As long as it is always the "other side's" fault nothing will ever change.

Plus, in those hundred years, about a few millenia-worth of accelerated advancement in the human condition in areas such as health, knowledge and, well, you name it.

Yeah um...the government didn't do that.
