The Left Killed Rock and Roll

You people have no clue how it works. Music industry is like Deep State. If it says X is what we want to market, X and only X gets marketed.

Maybe that's because so much of it is driven by the producers; the Beatles would still be a garage band playing in crappy bars if George Martin hadn't polished them up and marketed them well. Same for bands like the Byrds, Grass Roots, etc. Producers like Terry Melcher and Graham Parsons and the lunatic Phil Spector built the business as it was then and producers still matter today; rap and hip hop is entirely producer driven, though still crap it's crap that sells, which is all rock, country, and pop are about. Some performers may be genuinely talented and trained musicians, but those aren't a requirement for success.

I'll add that George Martin only produced them to make the money to produce classical music albums and comedy albums that don't do well financially. the only other rock/pop band he tried to produce was America, iirc, and they did okay but not well.

It is. Music is controlled by its own Deep State. Those powers determine who and what gets produced, talent be damned.

Like art, they killed it with their brainwashing that taking a crap on a canvas is art worth 6 figures, they killed it with insane rap crap that anyone can do.

Think I’m wrong? Who’s the Elvis, Beatles, Chuck Berry, Elton John, Pink Floyd etc of the last 20 years?

No one.

Rolling Stones, motley Crew, Metallica, to name a few.
That supports the OP.

You may not like the style, but those are the Beatles of the 80s and 90s. They are the influencers, they are the ones who will still be getting air time in 30 more years.

Things change, get used to it.

It’s 2019. There are no bands of that caliber in this century.

Sure there are.

Disturbed, avenged sevenfold, greenday, tool, lots of bands whose influence will be felt for decades to come.

Again, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Martin produced them because that was his job.

Commercial Music is controlled by the System.

The key word is "commercial". And that applies to a FUCK of a lot more than music.

Contrary to what that Shitstem would have us believe, there ARE things that exist beyond the purview of being ordered "you will now buy this".

You’re obviously not bright enough to understand basic things.
