The Latest Socialist Excuse...

Trump's the second generation poster child for socialism for the rich and rugged, "free" market individualism for the poor.

Exactly. That's part of the deal. When you let government control the economy, then those in charge of government get their way.

If rich individuals and corporations control the government and Federal Reserve, does not the ultimate control of the economy reside with private capitalists?

Well, I think ultimate control of the economy should reside with private capitalists, so that's a wash - but not through the Fed or via control of the government. Government should have no part to play. That's the problem now.

You are an idiot! It doesn't mean the workers(you) will own or run anything. You are the workers and the "Community" is just another word for the Politicians with the Power to force you to work (for the commune) or find "other options for you". If you are unable to produce in a socialist society you are not needed, if you don't follow the Ideology you are a dissident and must be eliminated.:fu:

Democratizing the Workplace through “Worker Self-Directed Enterprises”

"Contemporary capitalism no longer 'delivers the goods' (which is understood as a rising standard of real wages) to the majority of people.

"That classic defense of its instability (e.g. recurrent bouts of unemployment), its deepening economic, political, and cultural inequalities, and its attendant injustices is no longer plausible.

"In the U.S. since the 1970s, and especially since 2007, those who control the dominant capitalist enterprises have made decisions that undermined the delivery of rising standards of living to the mass of people..."

"We therefore propose reorganizing enterprises such that workers become their own bosses. That means placing the workers in the position of their own collective board of directors, rather than having directors be non-workers selected by major shareholders.

"This is not primarily a matter of workers as owners of these enterprises, nor primarily as managers. It is the tasks of direction—the decision-making now assigned usually and primarily to corporate boards of directors and only secondarily to the major shareholders who choose them—that must be transferred to the workers collectively.

"We call such enterprises worker self-directed enterprises (WSDEs). They embody economic democracy by locating it first and foremost inside the enterprises producing the goods and services upon which society depends.

"WSDEs represent the goal; and their growth and proliferation represent the mechanism to transition from the present capitalist system to a far better next system."

Why is it you people always want to take over an existing profitable company instead of starting your own? It’s almost as if you can’t do it and you know it. So really you need someone else to take the risk and invest all they have and only if it pays off then and only then do you demand part of the action.

That alone means you don’t deserve or are capable of running anything. You don’t deserve a say, you don’t deserve 15 bucks an hour and you don’t deserve any of the profits.

You’re too stupid to do it on your own. And you’re too stupid to take over for the person that did it.

If the only property rights you and I enjoy are those sanctioned by government, then those rights should be determined on the basis of one vote per citizen and not one vote per (corporate) dollar. When political pressure from below forced FDR to impose high taxes on wealth and business to fund mass relief from the capitalist Great Depression, we saw an example of government enforcing rules regarding property that enhanced the lives on millions of productive Americans at the expense of the economic parasites of the time. Another redistribution is long overdue:

Still not seeing the 'why'. But let's talk about your economy of "one vote per citizen and not one vote per dollar". You seem to be saying that everyone should have exactly the same amount of money to spend. But once they spend it, their "vote" is transferred to the seller. What then? Do we have to give all the money back at the end of the day? How do you prevent people from delegating their "votes" (dollars) to another? And if they can't do that, how does an economy work at all?
