I came across this riveting account of the actual people and events surrounding John's life that lead up to his death and the people who were involved. Very interesting reading about the real underbelly of Hollywood and the events surrounding a major Hollywood star quickly going up in flames much like Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and others. Highly recommended.

Thanks, tobfreak. Sad to see and hear about such a talented man so disabled by expectations of others he couldn't face life without getting high. Its been a long time ago since he passed. I wasn't a fan, but his brother made some very good movies later on. That's entertainment. The spotlight is fixed on the living.

Before my time. I watched a bunch of his old SNL skits one time. Most of them I simply did not get, or at least I didn't get why people thought he was so great.
