LAS VEGAS -- A plan to build an NFL stadium in Las Vegas and lure the Raiders from Oakland cleared a major hurdle Thursday when a Nevada oversight committee voted unanimously to recommend $750 million in public funding for the project.

The Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee recommended raising the hotel tax in the Las Vegas area to help pay for a 65,000-seat domed venue that was promoted and would be partially financed by billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, CEO of Las Vegas Sands.

Chargers still have the LA option and I think they will take it.

The mayor of Oakland is working to keep the Raiders there so we will see if she can. I have no idea how this will play out for the Raiders or the fans. That said, no matter where the Raiders end up they will still be my team.

If San Diego moves to Vegas they can use Phillip Rivers' tears to fill half the fountains. That dude is a huge crybaby.

I am certain that The Raiders will be in Vegas as soon as a mega stadium can be built there.

In the meantime they will wander around the SF Bay Area from OakTown to Stanford Univ.

Silver and Black actually makes sense for Nevada since it is The Silver State.

The Raiders have played in Oakland and in Los Angeles in the past, and they have wanted to leave Oakland for a really long time.

Las Vegas is perfect. Rather hot at times but Phoenix has proved with the Cardinals that NFL football in the deserts is feasible.

That has nothing to do with anything. The Chargers have the option to share the stadium in Inglewood with the Rams if they want to, if not them the Raiders have the option to move to Los Angeles. It is pretty much a given the Chargers will announce their intention to move to Los Angeles after this season is complete.

A "capitalist" society in which major professional sports team owners are subsidized via socialism and no one utters a peep. Interesting. Why, they beat Wall Street at doing it openly. And the fans suck it up.

Unless the Chargers beat them to it

If ANY of the current teams go there it will indeed be the Chargers which is also unlikely. They MIGHT and that is a BIG might, join the Rams in LA next year but I dont see that happening though even though they have that option because LA has no Chargers fans there whatsoever. The NFL will be in vegas eventually but it wont be the Raiders.a Davis owned franchise will never get approval by the owners.

This Raiders to Vegas story is about as real as carson was. It is a hoax same as it was and as i always said carson was.hee hee.

I cant believe anybody is actually taking this story seriously considering who the OP is.:lmao::rofl:

He is so gullible and believes everything the media tells him that he actually took Carson seriously and thought it was real and thought there was a good chance the raiders and chargers would be in LA this year saying once the NFL could go from having no teams to three teams in 2016. serious.I am not kidding. I am not making this up I can pull it up and show you where he said that once if you like?

He seriously believed the Raiders would go to LA despite the number of times I tried to explain to him dummies style, that the NFL does not like the Davis family and does not want a Davis owned franchise in LA. It just went through one ear and out the other with him though.:lmao::lmao::lmao::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I can show everybody here if they like WHEN he made that claim they would be in LA,just say the word.

Know what they are doing with that carson site that he actually thought had a chance of being real that I said for the past year was just a hoax? their making a shopping center into it now.

Lets see,the OP once seriously thought the Raiders would be in LA actually thinking the carson site was real and could not see that it was obviously a fantasy cooked up by Davis NOW you guys are going to take him serious that Vegas isnt a hoax same as carson? comedy gold.:lmao::rofl:

Vegas will eventually have a team within the next five years but it WONT be the Raiders. How do I know this? simple.. two things.

1.The Ronnie Lott group behind keeping the Raiders in oakland is gathering steam. He has bankers and many investors with deep pockets willing to privately fiance the new stadium.Goodel has met with Lott about this and has said the Raiders need to stay in Oakland.

He never said that about the Rams when asked about if the Rams would stay.He was very evasive about it back then, you could tell. If i was an Oakland resident, I would be worried about this IF Ronnie Lotts group was not involved in Goddel was not behind the Lott group but thats not the case at all.

2. Something else this article leaves out and what every media piece always leave out in their reporting on this everytime as well.

The NFL has much, much tougher rules for NFL relocation now than they did back when the Rams,Oilers, and Browns left their cities in the mid 90's.

After the Rams left LA in 95,then the Oilers did later in 96 leaving Houston for the much smaller tv market Nashville.the NFL adapted much tougher rules for NFL relocation because they lost money after that having two teams leave big markets for much much smaller markets. Nashville is by far a much smaller market than Houston is and we all know LA is the second biggest media market in the country.lol

Oakland is the 6th biggest media market in the country. Vegas is the 46th biggest. do the math.

Oakland is a gold mine for the NFL.they let this happen, they lose money.the NFL is all about money.sad but true.

who you all going to listen to,the OP,someone who thought Carson was real and there was a serious chance the Raiders would be back in LA this year, that carson had a chance?

or someone who said from the very beginning a year ago, carson was a hoax and said the rams would be back in LA and got the last laugh on dozens of people here who said they would NEVER come back? :lmao:

the ones who said they would never come back are always changing the subject all the time when i ask them the question-"what did you say about the Rams never coming back to LA?"

they either run off with their tail between their legs or change the subject talking about how the Rams are losers which is very odd behaviour since I never once said that them being back in LA,that they all of a sudden be winners their first year back.:lmao::lmao::rofl::rofl::rolleyes:

amazing how so many people here are so childish they simply cant say-"yeah you were right, you called it." that they got to change the subject all the time when confronted with that question.:uhoh3::rofl::haha:

And when the water runs out and the place becomes a ghost town.........besides why does Vegas need a sports team......seems double dumb

naw leave em be. let Vegas build their own franchise. MLB might be popular there to
One of those 2 teams will be there in a year or 2. The owners have basically been shouting to the world how desperate they are to get their teams out of San Diego and Oakland.
If you think the Raiders will, better got off the pipe you been smoking.

Vegas for the Raiders is as much as a hoax as carson was for them.same thing all over again.people never learn around here..
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Raiders in Vegas? better get off the pipe you been smoking.
Lets see,you are begining to sound like the OP who actually took carson serious that the raiders would be in LA this year even though i spelled it out to him many times it was just a hoax only to watch it go through one ear and out the other with him.:lmao:

Davis has lost LA as leverage for a new stadium in oakland .Carson was a hoax just as i called it MANY times around here the last year yet people did not believe me. He lost LA as leverage for a new stadium, and NOW he is using carson as leverage for a new stadium and you guys are falling for the latest hoax cooked up by the media for the raiders leaving?

you guys kill me how you all for what the LAMESTREAM media reports over and over again.

the SAME media who censored their facts on carson that so many here fell for hook, line, and sinker back then. the site in Carson the NFL was talking about for the Raiders, the media always censored out the fact that it was a TOXIC LAND DUMP that when you drive by there, the smell is so bad you cough yet people around here fell for it,hook, line, and sinker. Now you all are falling for the latest hoax vegas has cooked up.
you guys kill me how you all fall for hoax after hoax after hoax and NEVER learn your lesson.
comedy gold.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::rofl::rofl::rofl::haha::haha:

The OP i can understand falling for it,but you all? come on now. You cant be that gullible? lol

Let's say nfl approves a move! Where will they play temporarily in Vegas? Theres nowhere to play! People aren't thinking this out! Bay Area has Levi as temporary place and Vegas has nothing! Are Raiders thinking they can play at Oakland as a lame duck for two seasons? Davis is not smart! Coliseum would be a ghost town

I have to admit,The Los Vegas Raiders has a nice ring to it.
It's kinda the opposite of the New Orleans Saints in that it's an actual reflection of the cities population.
