Went to a Hall & Oates concert back in the late 70s maybe '80, because my lady friend at the time loved them. The opening act was The Kinks! Well, Ray Davies went into a barely concealed venomous rant about how he felt being on the undercard to H&O. It was a hoot and along with the band's music, much better than the main event.
