About halfway through the movie now. The media acted like this movie would spark crazy murdering sprees.

I don't see it. The least violent portrayal of Joker I've seen.

There is very little violence in this movie.

It is CLEARLY a character study and a dive into mental psychosis

Did you get to the part where his mother dies yet? That is the point where things start to change and you realize that his love interest is all in his head. Then he goes on the late night show...that's when things start to really pick up.

Best part of the movie was shooting Deniro in the head.

Other than that I don't get the media outrage over this movie. VERY tame by almost any action movie standard.
