This is a commando-settlement vignette inspired by the humanity-consciousness films The Island of Dr. Moreau and Lord of the Flies.

This 'etiquette vignette' references the 'worldly symbolism' of the populism-friendly fashion-clothing company Philosophy and the mobilization-rich characters from the popular American paramilitary fantasy-adventure franchise G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (Hasbro/Marvel).

Isn't it interesting how the modern age of commerce-gauged etiquette (e.g., eTrade, NATO, etc.) makes for all kinds of sensitive 'friendship storytelling'?

Cheers,

The super-strong secret array of soldiers known as G.I. Joes contended with the secret terrorist organization known as Cobra, but now the wars had subsided, democracy was safe, and the Joes and Cobras were surprisingly newfound allies and friends. The Joe assassin Snake-Eyes even married the Cobra female war-consultant Pythona. However, the Joes and Cobra needed a place to live together and privately, so Joe leader Duke (who was secretly a Hollywood movie-actor) suggested the entire team retire to a remote island off the coast of Tahiti (as of yet unmapped but known by the U.S. government).

When all the Joes and Cobras arrived on the island, they named it Paradiso. It was great. They divided labors, shared labors, avoided the complications of foolish social contracts, and broke bread and sang songs by the campfire and even told stories to each other. Cobra ninja Storm-Shadow was designated as the 'head storyteller.' One night, Joe leader Duke was speaking with female Cobra vizier Baroness and Joe female foot-soldier Lady Jaye about living so isolated, so distanced from the 'real world.' The trio concluded that separation based on 'war-philosophy' would be...stimulating. So it was agreed that all the women among the Joes and Cobra would serve as 'fashion models' for outfits designed by various members of the entire team --- as a bonding experience. Now, the team was truly a 'separate peace.'

The 'team' decided to visit NYC for New Year's Eve and even showcased drawings of their 'friendship fashion designs' to the women's apparel company Philosophy. The drawings were a hit, and Joe female captain Scarlett was offered the opportunity to stay in NYC and work at Philosophy as a special 'flexibility-fashions consultant.' However, Scarlett refused, knowing full well that she would rather return to that 'paradise island' with her Joe/Cobra friends and live a close-knit life of mobilization-based 'friendship.' When the team returned to the island, the first thing they asked each other was, "What's so great about Manhattan?"
