The facts are unemployment went down under FDR and the nations LOVED him.
These people like to piss in thier own eyes while shitting on the Amricans who lived at the time.
They rewrite every part of history they get their hands on.
They hate science, history and higher education so they can defend their failed ideas

I don't see it that way TM. It's hard for all of us to sort through all of the misinformation, some it State sponsored. We were all indoctrinated. My take is that there are many choices in Government, not all compatible with life in a Free Democratic Constitutional Republic. I give Hamilton a fail for as an acclaimed Federalist, shoving a National Bank down our throats. That was not compatible with who we were as a Nation today. Look at the corruption at the highest levels that he gave birth to. Roosevelt did not work within his means, true he both helped and hurt some. His method was and is the road to totalitarian rule. Great for administrators and bureaucrat's, Government and Union workers. Everyone else got cut out. You don't artificially maintain the cost of goods and services without hurting the poor. You don't burn and destroy crops and goods, without hurting the poor. I don't think Roosevelt was all bad, just misguided. I swear I would love to see a law that made all socialists pay full retail prices on every purchase, no sale prices, no coupons, no discounts, until you wake up. Cut the rate, increase the flow, it is that simple TM. The control freaks can't see past their ego's, their schemes to control every aspect of our lives. So much is spent on manipulating us into surrendering our will.

Keep in mind FDR entered office in 1933

FDR saved this country and the population who lived through this time would be very disappointed to see all the history rewrite that is done by the right in this country on the subject.
And BTW.... there's probably a bunch of Japanese/Americans who might not be FDR fans.
Starting in 1939, the U.S. began borrowing heavily to build up the military. The decrease in unemployment levels prior to the war was due to this effort. Without this spending, the recession of 1938 would have continued. The New Deal failed - the only thing that saved FDR was WWII.
FDR is considered a great president, not because of his policies but because of his leadership. He led the country through the greatest depression and military threat the country has ever faced. After the war ended we were the greatest military, industry, and financial power on earth. I think the president that led us through this deserves a lot a credit.
I still shake my head when supposed "free marketers" believe that taxing people to make bombs, planes, tanks, and guns is good for the economy...
FDR supposedly is a Great President for "Getting us out of the Great Depression."
Here's the data set.
I see no greatness. I see 8 consecutive years of failure.
FDR US Unemployment 1932: 24.1%, 1933: 24.9, 1934: 21.7%, 1935: 20.1%, 1936: 16.9%, 1937: 14.3%, 1938: 19.0%, 1939: 17.2%. 8 year Average = 19.8%
What's so great about averaging 20% unemployment for 8 consecutive years?
It was when ferret face Krugman invoked the broken window theory in one of his NY Times screeds after 9/11, that I came to the conclusion that he's a dangerous ideologue freak, rather than merely horribly misguided.I still shake my head when supposed "free marketers" believe that taxing people to make bombs, planes, tanks, and guns is good for the economy...
the broken window fallacy goes right over many people's head and/or they choose to ignore it becuase they love blowing up and rebuilding countries across earth from us
