Atheism or theism has nothing to do with anything...Rather it is the value we place on this human life, in this world. Where human life is held cheaply, you have gemocide and its concomitant attrocities. Where human life is the yardstick by which our morals are measured, such attrocities do not occur.

My point is that blaming religion for so many deaths is somewhat one sided, since the same can be said for atheism.

And yes, if we believe that the dignity of human beings is not worth protecting, we will eventually find ourselves justifying mass murder.

I think that is where many of us "pro-lifers" are coming from.
