On CNN today their lead story was this movie and how the movie has caused the death of our dignitaries and is the sole reason for all of the riots and protests.
They had a woman on calling for our government to do something about it and restrain further film makers from insulting Muslims. She stated that the Muslims had every right to protest this full force because what was done insulted them and their religous beliefs. She stated we should respect the Muslim religion and their beliefs and our government needed to reign in rogue movie makers that insult other religions. She claimed this movie had it's roots in Christian fundamentalism attacking another religion.
Oh my, the hypocrisy of the left.
I seem to remember in the late 80s an artist and photographer that pissed into a large jar many times and sunk a crucifix in it. He entered it into an art exhibition and received first place! Christians protested and wanted the "art" work out of that gallery. The left wing went nuts and called these Christian protestors "cultural terrorists" and held their own protest to protest the Christian protestors. To top it off the dude that entered his art that he labeled himself "Piss Christ" received a 15K grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for his "art". Further protests came from that and the left furthered their screams about "the war on artistic expression" and " we must stop religous fundamentalism from attacking free expression of art".
But now the shoe is on the other foot and they are calling for something to be done with folks insulting Muslims with their home grown art here.
Okay for Muslims to rape, maim, murder, burn and pillage when they are insulted but NOTokay for Christians to protest Piss Christ "art" and taxpayer dollars spent exhibiting it.
