    Caused the economic down turn, financial crisis and loss of wealth by the middle class.

    The rich have largely recovered and then some while the middle class has deteriorated and the Repubs think that cutting spending and giving tax cuts to those same rich is the answer to the problem when it was precisely part of the reason for the economic problems.

    Who do you think played a direct role in the housing market? We had Greenspan lowering interest to ridiculously low and artificial amounts combined with the government's moral hazard of Fannie and Freddie.
