This one is currently making the rounds on HBO, Showtime, Stars and TMC, and I wish to recommend it to anyone who enjoys films with slowly unfolding but captivating psychological plots. This one is extremely well done in every respect; story, acting, direction, musical score and cinematography. I'm very surprised it hasn't been widely acclaimed because in my opinion it deserves a platoon of Oscars.
The cast includes my very favorite actress, Meryl Streep, in one of her best roles, along with Nicole Kidman, who delivers an amazingly powerful performance, as do Ed Harris and Julianne Moore. Clare Danes and Jeff Daniels lend brilliant support and the musical score fits every sequence and scene to absolute perfection.
