Most of us take our roads and highways for granted. They’re just there and we only really pay attention when we encounter frustrating detours – or potholes. This article provides a history of roads dating back 10,000 years and a glimpse of what the future will be like.

Self-repairing roads?

Here’s the most interesting area to me:

5.Emerging asphalt alternatives.

Rubber – all those thousands of used tires we see everywhere

Plastic – a way to recycles those millions of items tossed away daily

Food scraps (?) coffee grounds?????

6. Gravel is back.

All of it with some additional info @ The history—and future—of hitting the road

Don't forget to bring your long, long trailer ...

I'm looking for a RV for my gf, her cat (cats?) and my two (three dogs?). Thought I could get by with a class B-plus model for now, but I could end up like Ricky in your pic haha.
