Here is a look at ten of the most famous of these insular architectural projects.​

I spent 9 1/2 years in the Air Force, 2 of those years was at Hahn AB Germany. My job at the time, was to get all the jets up into the sky then bend over and kiss my ass goodbye because "rolling thunder" of the USSR was going to steam roll US till the next wall of jets were going up in France and Spain.
