In fact, Romney is NOT QUALIFIED to talk to about 99.999% of the American electorate - but he is QUALIFIED to talk to the ones who have $180 - $250 million in assets, have given another $70 - $100 million to their children/grandchildren, own 3 mansions (homes) and earn about $21 million a year from investment income.

Ms. Rosen makes one quip that at it's base is pretty valid. Mrs. Romney has never been in the workforce and has basically been rich most of her life. She hasn't the slightest idea what most people face nor does she care. And neither does Mitt. He's 65, got more money then some 400 or 500 Americans would ever need in a lifetime, combined..and got a lot of time on his hands. So he's bored.

There's a huge difference between Obama's net worth and Romney's. Obama probably has around 11 million..

I think the bottom line here was pointing out this silly strategy Romney has been flirting with..that he really is a "regular joe". It never works for the rich candidate..as George HW Bush famously showed. Lately Romney's been back and forth on this..but the "Cheesy Grits", "I'm an unemployed guy" thing was just painful. And it's the same when he brings up his wife and the economy.
It would probably better if he stuck with the "Yeah, I am a rich guy..and I know how the economy works" thing. And stay away from the contraception/abortion thing.
