The Hand Of Fate Has Selected Barack Obama

Reagan was a Democrat and the president of a union until his grade B movies began to make some serious dollars. Then he converted to Republicanism with one goal....reduce taxes for the wealthy. He cut taxes by trillions with the wealthiest gaining the most, began borrowing from foreign banks and he and Bush's daddy quadrupled the national debt.

I might also point out that he signed an amnesty bill in 1986 which ultimately granted amnesty to about six million illegals even though the original bill was only supposed to accomodate 2.5 million. Anybody who calls reagan a conservative has their head up their ass so far that they will never see daylight again. In my day the idea of a Republican supporting deficits was so ridiculous that one would have been laughed out of town for even saying such a thing.

That's why I'm no longer a Republican....they have abandoned the original idea and run up a debt so massive that now just the interest on it would fund the defense budgets of the other ten biggest governments in the world.

The democrats forcing Reagan to agree to that amnesty and now lying about it, only proves that democrats can be trusted in nothing.

obama is going to leave office the most despised president we have ever had. The result will be, that unlike the election of JFK which should the US that a Catholic President was not to be feared and a Catholic could make a good president. The downfall of obama will destroy the chances of any black becoming president for the next foreseable future.

That is total bullshit. It demonstrates that a black conservative would make a better President than a black liberal though.

It's either a senior moment or he's already into the Vodka.

Why is that an either/or?

FWIW, no one thought Reagan could win either. He was seen as too radical, and an actor.
Of course then the press wasn't altogether kind to Carter and we still had some semblence of journalistic objectivity.

Reagan LOL

Now that you're done slandering the greatest president in teh 20th century and showing yourself a total wanker, is there anything you can offer to refute what I said?

Only in the eyes of racists. Thank goodness there's not many of you left.

I wish! Black conservatives have been systematically destroyed by all those non-racist liberals. Future voters are going to look at a black man, no matter how conservative, and immediately have a gut reaction of a stereotypical obama. This is a case of putting one's hand on a hot stove. The next stove might be perfectly cool and the average person won't want to put their hand on a burner.

While I would like to agree with you, that would show real racial healing, I can't.

There could be a pay for view set up for a debate between Newt and O'Bamma, like Newt said, he would even let the as swipe use his teleprompters. The only chance Barry would have would be with the idiots they might put in as moderators.

By electing Newt Gingrich as the Republican nominee they are basically appointing a repeat performance by the president.

C'mon folks....you know how politics works and you still want to run Newt LOL!

Newt won the nomination? Before the convention and after winning only one primary? Ammazing.

By the way, I thought you thought superstitions is twaddle, what is this hand of fate business?

Reagan was one ruthless motherfucker. That was a low point in American politics. Half hour after Reagan was sworn in the American Hostages in Iran were released.

Fucking lowlife.

Low point was Carter and that's based on actual economic conditions, not emotions. Both Bush', Clinton, and O have led us into military actions. Reagan didn't.

Reagan didn't lead us into military actions? Really?

American peacekeeping forces in Beirut, a part of a multinational force during the Lebanese Civil War who had been earlier deployed by Reagan, were attacked on October 23, 1983. The Beirut barracks bombing resulted in the deaths of 241 American servicemen and the wounding of more than 60 others by a suicide truck bomber. Reagan sent a White House team to the site four days later, led by his Vice President, George H.W. Bush. Reagan called the attack "despicable," pledged to keep a military force in Lebanon, and planned to target the Sheik Abdullah barracks in Baalbek, Lebanon, training ground for Hezbollah fighters,[156][157] but the mission was later aborted. On February 7, 1984, President Reagan ordered the Marines to begin withdrawal from Lebanon. In April 1984, as his keynote address to the 20,000 attendees of the Rev. Jerry Falwell's "Baptist Fundamentalism '84" convention in Washington, D.C., he read a first hand account of the bombing, written by Navy Chaplain (Rabbi) Arnold Resnicoff, who had been asked to write the report by Bush and his team.[158] Osama bin Laden would later cite Reagan's withdrawal of forces as a sign of American weakness.[159]

On October 25, 1983, only two days later, Reagan ordered U.S. forces to invade Grenada, code named Operation Urgent Fury, where a 1979 coup d'état had established an independent non-aligned Marxist-Leninist government. A formal appeal from the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) led to the intervention of U.S. forces; President Reagan also cited an allegedly regional threat posed by a Soviet-Cuban military build-up in the Caribbean and concern for the safety of several hundred American medical students at St. George's University as adequate reasons to invade. Operation Urgent Fury was the first major military operation conducted by U.S. forces since the Vietnam War, several days of fighting commenced, resulting in a U.S. victory,[160] with 19 American fatalities and 116 wounded American soldiers.[161] In mid-December, after a new government was appointed by the Governor-General, U.S. forces withdrew.[160]

Relations between Libya and the U.S. under President Reagan were continually contentious, beginning with the Gulf of Sidra incident in 1981; by 1982, Gaddafi was considered by the CIA to be, along with USSR leader Leonid Brezhnev and Cuban leader Fidel Castro,[205] part of a group known as the "unholy trinity"[205] and was also labeled as "our international public enemy number one" by a CIA official.[205] These tensions were later revived in early April 1986, when a bomb exploded in a Berlin discothèque, resulting in the injury of 63 American military personnel and death of one serviceman.[206] Stating that there was "irrefutable proof" that Libya had directed the "terrorist bombing", Reagan authorized the use of force against the country.[206] In the late evening of April 15, 1986, the U.S. launched a series of air strikes on ground targets in Libya.[206][207] The UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher allowed the US Air Force to use Britain's air bases to launch the attack, on the justification that the UK was supporting America's right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.[207] The attack was designed to halt Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's "ability to export terrorism", offering him "incentives and reasons to alter his criminal behavior".[206] The president addressed the nation from the Oval Office after the attacks had commenced, stating, "When our citizens are attacked or abused anywhere in the world on the direct orders of hostile regimes, we will respond so long as I'm in this office."[207] As early as 1981, Reagan had referred to Gaddafi as "the mad dog of the Middle East"[208] and considered him to be public enemy number one.[209

GOP debt = bad.

Democrat debt = good.

If you didn't have double standards, you'd have no standards at all.

The Republicans ran up the debt. Reagan assumed a budget which was essentially balanced, cut taxes for the wealthy, began to borrow from foreign banks to cover the shortfall and he and Bush's daddy quadrupled the national debt.

Clinton raised taxes and not only balanced the annual budget but generated enough surplus to buy back about $450 billion of debt during fy's 1998,1999 and 2000. The administration and the congress were arguing about how to spend the surplus. The entire national debt was on track to be completely paid off by 2012.'

Along came George, slow walking, slow talking George, cut taxes twice(2001-2003) using reconciliation to block any Democratic opposition and proceeded to double the debt from $5.7 trillion to nearly $12 trillion.

When Barack Obama took over the existing interest on the total debt was $450,000,000,000 per year. That has to be paid each year or we fall into into default. Three times $450,000,000,000 is $1,350,000,000,000.........kindly subtract that from Obama's debt and add it to the rightful owners, Reagan and the Bushes.

If you can't see that you have one helluva problem....a Republican problem.

Obama hs been president for 3 years with a filibuster proof Congress for much of that time.
WHen did he ever try seriously to cut the debt? When did he propose increased spending programs?

Cut the debt

You must be shitting me. Bill Clinton is the only president since Eisenhower to cut the debt. When the Republicans left an annual interest payment of $450,000,000,000 each year on the debt they created how in the phuck was Obama supposed to have a chance

So you vote for Democrats who run the debt up even faster.

Good job, asshat! :clap2:

LMAO!!!!

Obama hs been president for 3 years with a filibuster proof Congress for much of that time.
WHen did he ever try seriously to cut the debt? When did he propose increased spending programs?

Sucks to be the one responsible, doesnt it?

Cut the debt

You must be shitting me. Bill Clinton is the only president since Eisenhower to cut the debt. When the Republicans left an annual interest payment of $450,000,000,000 each year on the debt they created how in the phuck was Obama supposed to have a chance

Obama had a solid Democratic Congress. Clinton had a GOP Congress, which is why the debt got cut. So instead of increasing the debt, why didnt Obama and the Dems just keep it the same? You know, the level where we werent downgraded by credit agencies.
