Well, this is what we get from the wonders of liberalism--and it's marriage with unions and greed:

New York, New Jersey and California come bottom of individual freedoms study | Mail Online

I love my state, I really do. But the absolutely psychotic Democrat/union controlled legislature that runs it makes for interesting times to say the least.

At least Governor Brown had the stones to veto the insane, so-called balanced, budget. Although, there are those who believe the whole thing was planned for him to veto it. Who knows?

Come on in. Taxes for everyone!

Those states have consistently raised taxes "to balance the budget." This should show that that approach does not work. It only creates bigger deficits.

So, of course, what does my (I use that term loosely) state legislature want to do? They want to extend the so-called temporary tax increases that are set to expire on June 30. It's genius, absolute genius. Do these people have a soul?

Another--maybe the most important--question is: Are the people who keep re-electing these greed bags brain dead? WTF?!

It ain't me. That's for sure.

I’m not finding anything in the article where any of the states’ laws or regulations have been ruled un-Constitutional in Federal court, such as California’s Prop 8, for example.
    I see.

Consequently the source of the ‘report’ is a conservative think tank, its ‘findings’ predicated on subjective partisan dogma, not a legal or Constitutional basis for ‘rights’ and ‘freedoms.’

What you don't understand is that there needs to be a balance between Capitalism and Socialism.

    One side negates the other.

In short, what is the difference of tyranny in the public sector or the private? In truth you need both sides to make a real society.

We gave some of the highest taxes in the nation and a legislature that is itching to bypass the voters to extend a temporary tax increase. When a democratically elected body works to subvert citizens, what do you call that?

In the city of Glendale California a person can no longer smoke in their own apartment. If that is not un-Constitutional it should be. In Calabasas California a person can not smoke walking down the street. It is now illegal to smoke on an L.A. City Golf Course. Helmets must be worn on Motorcycles and seat belts must be worn in cars. In Pasadena it is illegal for a secretary to be alone in a room with her boss.

    Stupid fvcking Democrats

But you can by Pot in a shop if you tell a doctor your toe hurts.

I think our law makers must be stoned.
