The GOP's finest "joke". Something many religious take seriously.

With Romney's "joke" about "rising waters", once again, Republicans put on display their disdain for science. In one cheap joke, they offended reason in so many ways. On Morning Joe, Gov. Scott Walker said it was the best line of the night.

Many religious see humans as "stewards" of the planet. Republicans see the planet as something to rape and pillage.

Scientists have warned us of the consequences of our actions. Republicans see science as a "faith" and say scientists are liars who are on the "dole".

The worlds weather patterns are changing. It's something we can look directly at. Republicans, who don't believe in science, have explanations backed by "gut feeling" and "imagination". The same things that guide their foreign and economic policies.

As long as these people run America, we as so screwed.

Desperation ....

Pathetic...

What's happens on election night? You jump off a building?

Holy shit ... we can control the world's weather patterns? Instead of adjusting to them. I bet you the worlds weather patterns have been changing a lot longer than humans have been around.

rderp thinks the reference to rising waters had anything to do with religion.

And he's so pathetic, he wants to make THAT nonsense a talking point?

He'd have better luck humping Chrissy Matthews and arguing that all references to "Chicago" are coded references to "race."

Wait a minute -- you keep saying Republicans are all religious.

Now you're making a distinction between Republicans and the religious.

You're just a poo-flinging monkey.

At present it is the GOP that is denying the science. It is the GOP that are dancing to the tune of the big energy companies and repeating their lies concerning the climate changes that are obvious to all but the blind.

the time will come when God 'DESTROYS those who destroy the earth', this is what the Bible says....

He put us in the Garden to work the garden and to "Take care of it"....that is our mission regarding the Earth.

but now...

human freedom – which has come to mean, do whatever we have the power and the desire to do;

economic growth – which has come to mean, the responsibility to make as much money as possible in as little time as possible, whatever the cost to other persons or creatures;

and the Divine command to exercise dominion – which has come to mean domination, exploitation, and destruction.

Sad, sad indeed! :(

What happened to cause Republicans to turn away from science and education?

Republicans are short-sighted. They live for the "now". Screw future generations.

Damn, did you miss the point. My guess is you had to have the fake interpretation explained to you using really small words, the real interpretation is that Obama is an arrogant, pretentious, jerk that cares more about getting a Nobel Peace Prize than about making sure people that need help.
