The GOP field is pathetic - Obama will win by default in 2012

If Unemployment is still over 8% in NOV 2010 Obama will need a miracle to win. Even against a mediocre Republican Challenger. If he pulled out a win, he would be the first American President to ever win re-election when unemployment was over 8%.

:)

Wow. That sounds profound but when you consider that FDR was reelected three times with an unemployment rate north of 8% and that no other President since FDR has even faced reelection with an unemployment rate above 8% it sounds more like flatulance.

This is not the time for Democrats to be overly confident. In fact it is the time for them to be most cautious. Because cornered rats can be surprisingly resourceful and vicious.

While the general tone is that the right is not happy with the current field of candidates, the truth is that it is way early in the election season. I want to hear more from Huntsman. Giuliani might get in. Pawlenty seems like a viable candidate. Romney would be OK but Romneycare will be a problem. The media have pushed the "fact" that the Republican field is weak, and I've heard at least a couple of talkingheads say that a third party candidate is desired. That of course would assure victory for President Obama, an occurence that would greatly please his media supporters. There is a lot of time left on the clock. The game has just started.

Right - we saw how popular Dems were in the midterm elections of 2010.

The Repubs will control EVERYTHING after the election of 2012.

Only a complete imbecile would vote for the Marxist after his 1st four years of failure.
"Even after the release of Obama's birth certificate, however, nearly one-quarter of Republicans still refuse to believe that the president was born in the United States. Conspiracy thinking is flourishing on the right like no time since the McCarthy era. The GOP rank and file is in desperate need of a cold shower, a slap in the face, a wake-up call. But instead of telling the base to get a grip on reality, the party's leaders are chasing after the delusional mob. To get to the front of the line in 2012, Republican candidates must pretend to believe a lot of nonsense than isn't so. Or do they actually believe it?"

Losing????
