The GOP FAILED. There is no excuse for where we find ourselves.

Do you even know what's currently available?
Obviously not.

Yes, I do, expensive insurance.

Psst...insurance has always been expensive.

Just admit that you're too cheap to get coverage. You're betting that you won't become sick or injured and don't care if you could pay or not.

It used to not be that expensive. I've got coverage, it's the law. Its $2000 deductible and $450 a month. So I pay $7000 before insurance pays 80%, great policy!Thank you Democrats!

You'd rather pay $250K?
for what?

Read the thread, dope.

so curious, do you get insurance for free?

Never said I did, dope. The conversation was about the mandate.
no it wasn't

Don't tell me what I'm talking about. Read the freakin thread.

Insurance is not healthcare. Jack weed

No, it's how you pay for your healthcare, dope.

Try answering the question. You dopes all say that people, (poor people),should pay for their own healthcare while steadfastly vowing that you won't be forced to have a policy. Well, the simple question then is, who pays for you when your bill exceeds your ability to pay?

In your scenario there's only two choices if you're not covered. You either opt to not have treatment or you get treatment even though you can't pay.
Na, trusting any insurance company to cover anyone is foolish to begin with, they will do everything they can to weasel out of their perceived obligation.

Yep, no bill ever gets paid. :laugh2:
Extremely common behavior by insurance companies… Bad faith. LOL

My colonoscopy was supposed to be covered, they rejected it.

Liar.

you've been pissin in here nonstop with nonsense on healthcare shit you know absolutely nothing about.

My brother is self employed and pays $1500 per month for a family plan. He said that he thinks a premium of $500 per month would be realistic. Does any plan achieve that kind of savings?

I can't think (without my chart) what the federal poverty level is for a family of 4, oh you didn't say that. Or what state he is in, but I bet depending on his gross income his accountant can get his income in a range to get a subsidy. Heck his accountant may already have but he didn't know he might qualify. The best thing for him to do is contact a reputable health insurance agent where he lives between Nov 1 and Dec 15th, assuming the subsidies will still be there next year.

Massachusetts. He doesn't qualify for subs. Even if you do, it comes up to be very little at the higher end. When my wife and I started a family a few years back, we thought about having her stay home for the first couple years. We did qualify for a sub, but it amounted to $150 per month off a $1300 premium. It would be stupid to dump business/lower income to try to get more. She stayed at her employment to keep her benefits.

I am not arguing against the benefits offered by Obamacare. I am just saying that you have to be willing to pay for them. I think the self employed and small business have the toughest time with these premiums.

Here is a question. Take subs out of it. Let's take the $1500 example. Is there any plan that would reduce the current premiums down by half or more while maintaining all the same coverages? I don't there is a plan.

We are going single payer. I think those that pay the full boat for these policies will eventually put up the white flag. Will the taxes for single payer be greater than the 20-30K per year for premiums, probably higher a decade down the line?

So much bullshit.

Hey, I don't like it either. But, those are the insurance rates, and if you have a decent business, you aren't getting subs. It is full boat payment for you.

They have nothing and when they figure it out, the name call and use insults. I have been responding in kind, however I need to refrain.

How is it I couldn't pay? It was a catastrophic policy. Cheap premiums, cheaper than today. I paid out less, if there is one that I won't be able to pay would be the policy I am forced to buy today. Do you even know what a catastrophic policy is?

Another uninformed lefty, I am not surprised.

Under Health Law, Colonoscopies Are Free – But It Doesn’t Always Work That Way

So the coal miners on Medicaid are freeloaders, eh?

Coal miners belong to unions who provide retirees with insurance... unless the union kicked them out into one of the Obamacare exchanges. Yes, the big unions love Obiecare, it allows them to skate. You love Obiecare because it gives you more victims to champion the cause for.

I love reading the responses from you kookadoodles.... it's as if you believe insurance companies, like the government, has this huge magical pile of endless money that never runs out! They can just pay for anything that anyone can't afford... no problem! Except, that's not how things work in the real world.

those that don't have colonoscopies after she 50 should have higher premiums. Obese should also be Mae to pay more. It's called preventive medicine and responsibility.

Honestly, Trump and a few of his successful business leader appointments must look at both sides of the aisles, and say "how do some of these guys have a job"? Even as an outsider living in a socialist nation, even I shake my head at this.

Ironically, the Democrats have as much if not more to lose by this, as Obamacare is going to falter and the GOP can rightfully suggest that from Day One Schumer said that repeal had to be off the table or he would direct his Groupthink minions to not vote. The GOP have received exactly zero votes and zero support from the Dems who surely realise that Obamacare was a great big, socialist scam meant to trap all future governments and societies within the ACA Bill.

I will say this, two important issues, one, trying to roll back once earned benefits that are now deemed entitlements is very hard to do, two, the costs of healthcare from doctors on down is quite expensive and thus unsustainable as a socialised option. Especially when you are already stretched with 11 million illegal immigrants and foreign government abuses against U.S businesses.

I concur with most of your takes here, but disagree that the Dems have as much to lose as the Repubs. The Dems passed BOcare and hence owned it. Owned it until the Repubs won control by promising repeal and replace. Now that the Repubs have proven they can't even get their own majority to a vote on their R&R promise, they can hardly blame the Dems for obstruction. If they could at least vote and show support in their own party on a bill, then they could point at the Dems for not allowing a change. Some have speculated that the GOP could get to 60 seats in the senate after the midterms. The way things look now, even if they had the filibuster proof majority, they wouldn't be able to pass a healthcare bill.
No the bill was dems period. Until it is replaced, it's the dems.

Wrong-a-reno! GOP promised a replacement, everybody who is reasonable agrees it sucks, GOP owns the House, Senate and presidency. If they could at least get a vote in the senate, and get 50-52 votes, then they could blame the Dems for not supporting a replacement/obstruction. Short of that, they own it as much as the Dems. Don't believe me? Watch what happens to the GOP majority in the House of Representatives in the midterms. They are setting themselves up to get crushed. Mr. Ryan, please take your seat, hello Speaker Pelosi.
well not in my eyes. I'm entitled to that just as you are. but, the majority of voters will be with me. just saying

quick post a poll. it's what everyone does. i give two shits about useless polls. and they are all useless, everyone.

Can anyone show me where it is written in our Constitution that the Federal Fucking Government is responsible for providing and managing the private healthcare of individual citizens from cradle to fucking grave?

uh-huh. you are all about privacy except for the most private of privates on a woman. so save it babyface.

You're are correct that you opinion counts as much as mine at this point, and that polls are not accurate in today's world. Time will tell, but I'll be shocked if the GOP doesn't loose seats and even the majority in the House at the midterms.

if they lose seats, it will be that they didn't keep a promise to their constituents and that's all.

But I can't imagine someone voting for snowflakes. seems too odd.

These asshats ON BOTH SIDES are playing with fire. We are on the road to a total collapse of our healthcare system & not just the insurance side that the left already wrecked.

I full heartedly supported the GOP and their plan to repeal & or replace. They had SEVEN FUCKING YEARS to prepare for this. In the meantime my premiums skyrocketed right along with my out of pocket expenses.

And for what???

I am nearing 50 years of age and medical needs are likely to begin setting in at some point. Meanwhile these jackasses play partisan reelection politics. At this point who got us here is almost irrelevant to the actual needs I'm likely to start facing so the blame game does nothing to help me.

Bravo.

You were lied to. These people never had a plan, they just wanted power.

Then they get the power and don't know what to do with it.
