CANADA REVISES IT'S HEALTHCARE SYSTEM
Canada has made changes to its universal health care system to try to cut back on soaring costs.
Reuters has reported some changes include a possible new health care tax. And one unpopular idea has Canadians making payments for medical visits that were once free.
Most Canadians do not want any changes to their free health care. Some analysts predict health care will make up 70 percent of the Canadian government's budget in 12 years.
"Our objective is to preserve the quality healthcare system we have and indeed to enhance it. But there are difficult decisions ahead and we will continue to make them," Ontario Finance Minister Dwight Duncan told Reuters.

It already makes up 55% of the budget in Ontario (up from 40% a decade ago) and around 40% in BC.
Canada will be fucked up the asshole if there aren't drastic changes in the next decade or so.

obama knows that allowing most of the tax cuts to expire were bad...most economists have said this....this way...he is seen as the great compromiser and can now hold the gop up as the solely the party of the rich....which he has done all day....
this might backfire for obama (but still hold well for most americans) is that the gop agreed to UB for another year, thus, you can't really say the gop is solely about the wealthy....however, them not agreeing to the expiration for those making over a million does not look good
