In case you didn't know it the "Global Citizens Festival" is coming to Central Park in NYC on 9/28-9. It will feature top name music stars like Neil Young and the Foo-fighters. The hype states that it is an "advocacy concert to celebrate the progress made in fighting global poverty". (what progress?) It goes on to say that "the concert intends to secure financial commitments for tackling global poverty and disease" and (this is the important part) "to mobilise thousands of ambassadors for change". The timing and the wording tends to point towards a campaign event for Obama.
