Ive seen several threads degrading conservatives as being on the "fringe". So I have to pose a question.

Is being on the Fringe bad? Is it bad to have an opinion that the majority of society disagrees with? Should such people be punished for having what may be considered a fringe idea?

And who determines whats the fringe or not? Seriously, aren't we all just individuals who have different opinions on matters?

Conservatives aren't on the fringe for their beliefs because they don't have any beliefs.

They just oppose what liberals do, even if it's the exact same thing a Republican was doing less than a year ago.

Today's so-called conservatives are just a collection of angry people, nothing more and nothing less.

Give it enough time and the domestic terrorism of McVeigh, Eric Rudolf and Ted Kazinski will start up again, just like during the last Democratic administration.

Remember when hundreds of volunteers went out in the woods of Georgia and North Carolina with their "Saving Eric Rudolf" t-shirts and hats? They made the terrorists (Rudolph) out to be some kind of rebel hero, even though he (like McVeigh) was nothing but a common murderer and complete terrorist.

Look for that to start happening again, along with bozos flying airplanes into the Whitehouse or shooting at the Whitehouse, both of which happened when Clinton was president.

Extremist American liberals say whacky things. Extremist American Rightwingers kill people.

A few good points, and only I need clarity on, are you contending that all who mention the word fringe think that all conservatives are on the fringe?

Aside from that, I prefer the word extremist myself, fringe, as you said, describes virtually everyone and shouldn't be a bad idea. Often the fringe ideas are more knowledgeable and better than those of main stream (or pop culture).

The fringe of the rug is the edge or border.

Being fringe in and of its self is NOT wrong.

Its ment to protray a political power a segmant has.

The fringe does not have much power simply because of their numbers.

There Ideas could be right and they may be the smartest one arround but have no power to impliment their bidding Until they can frame there ideas in a way the reaches more people taking them out of the fringe and into the mainstream.

No Fringe movement has the right to insist there ideas should be implemented until they can convience more people they have the correct solutions to solve the problems of the world.

A fringe movement that spews hate on all others and insults the majority constantly has no chance of moving beyond the fringe.

but the thing is we did the talking that got the majority to move to us.

Well ok your guy helped by distroying the country.

We don't? So nice of you to enlighten us.

They just oppose what liberals do, even if it's the exact same thing a Republican was doing less than a year ago.

We were opposing the Republicans when they did it less than a year ago as well. Why do you people have such selective memories?

Today's so-called conservatives are just a collection of angry people, nothing more and nothing less.

Government oppressing people has a habit of pissing off freedom loving people.

Wasting our harded earned money does that too.

Most of us, however, arent angry at all. We are just tired of bullcrap and willing to state it.

Give it enough time and the domestic terrorism of McVeigh, Eric Rudolf and Ted Kazinski will start up again, just like during the last Democratic administration.

Which just shows you have no basis in reality.

No. actually not at all. Because it was insignificant to the rest of society.

Is it the right's fault that security is lax when Democrats are in office?

Extremist American liberals say whacky things. Extremist American Rightwingers kill people.

Saying wacky things? right.. This partisan nonsense is ridiculous. The left wing is even more violent then the right ring. And you try to pretend as though you dont exist. How many violent anti war protests have we seen the past 8 years? Plenty. How many eco terrorists have we seen? Do you honestly think those nutjobs are on the right? How many times did you guys talk about killing the President and Vice President?

Dont give me this nonsense that you guys are angels. The left is responsible for more death trying to enforce their agenda on this world than any other group in the history of the world.

Hate to break this to you, but we still exist and we are doing pretty good despite the psycho spending spree going on.

This country hasnt been destroyed yet. If you think it has you are on the fringe and you shouldnt be complaining about anyone else on the fringe.

Some can't see or imagine anything past their own fringe.

Yeah your right America thinks GWB left us no mess.
Be like the Cunard Line refusing to admit that the TITANIC was their ship
after it sank.
Deny Deny Deny any connection or the very existence of the Bush Presidency at all costs.
