The Four Questions Every Liberal Must Be Asked

My bet is, the liberal anwser to all four question is higher taxes. The obvious will never come to them. That we MUST CUT SPENDING!

Responsible government means you ballance taxes coming in with spending going out.

"Cut Spending" is not a panacea
In other words raise taxes, raise taxes, raise taxes.
It never occurs to libs that if you cut taxes AND SPENDING, it goes a long way.
Look at what happend in the 90s just with cutting capital gains?

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You only have half the formula to a balanced budget. Keep income up and spending down. More money in and less money out

Oh Gawd... we have another Clinton left Bush a surplus moment coming... wait for it... wait for it....

Debt held by the public was on the decline:

Yes! Thanks to REPUBLICANS forcing Clinton to CUT CAPITAL GAINS and sign Welfare Reform.

If you will look at CBO numbers PRIOR TO REPUBLICANS WINNING IN 1994, the CBO predicted huge deficits until 2000.

What changed? It sure as hell wasn't Clinton.

Try again liberals!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

you can't be serious. You're kidding, right? Ask Alan Greenspan about his first meetings with Clinton, when Clinton decided that deficit reduction would take precedence over tax cuts and social programs - hence, the 1993 budget reconciliation act that started an eight year trend of fiscal position improvements under Clinton.

When Clinton left office, those same Republicans (minus those kicked out for cheating etc...) turned around and passed the largest expansion of the welfare state since LBJ - without a single mechanism to raise a dime to pay for it.

By the way, how was Clinton "forced" to reduce the capital gains tax rate and implement TANF? I'll wait.

Basically that means raise taxes, cut spending and balance the budget.

Only trouble is.......the GOP forgot the first part of that formula.

Why Liberals when the Conservatives haven't balanced a budget since Eisenhower?

Oh Gawd... we have another Clinton left Bush a surplus moment coming... wait for it... wait for it....

Even funnier, how the lefty sheep here REFUSE TO GIVE GWB, THE GOP CONGRESS, etc credit for '01-'07 when the economy was GOOD.

The economy was good? The number of jobs created during Bush's terms did not even keep up with the number of high school and college graduates. Not only that, but during his terms 42,000 factories were shipped overseas with an average job loss of 500 per factory. And the average wage of the working poor and middle class declined in real money terms. The defining characteristics of the Bush legacy is incompetance and failure.

They ran up several trillion in debt during that time? How is it that the economy could have been 'good' as you call it,

if we still had to borrow trillions to get by?

In good economies, you're supposed to pay down (or at least attempt to pay down) the debt you built up when the economy was bad,
as, for example Clinton did.

Bush and the GOP Congress, despite having what you call a good economy, still kept borrowing and borrowing and running up debt.

WHY?

Librals didn't do this.
Conservatives didn't do this.
Government didn't do this.

The politicians did this. All of them.

How many of them have promissed us the moon only to hand us a rock?

someone will say it's our fualt for electing them.

That's somewhat true, and totally true for Re-elections.

Damn we need a do-over. We need someone that's prepared to be hated for doing what must be done and just not what we want done.

Too bad that people of character like that also have to many morals to go into politics.

Chris Christie Governor of NJ...and if he has any success then maybe every now and again
we will find someone with the "nerve" to stand up for what needs to be done.The left are going nuts over this guy.They will try to destroy him before all is said and done.

I hope enough people show some spine and support this guy through whatever the left throws at him.

:clap2::clap2:

Yeah....right.....Christie........isn't this the dude that is right now down in Florida, with his Lt. Governor on vacation as well, leaving the running of the state during one of the worst snowstorms in the state to the 3rd guy in line.......the State Senate President who also happens to be a Democrat?

New Jersey is buried after an epic snowstorm. And Gov. Chris Christie is ... at Disneyworld.

Critics are blasting the Republican governor's decision to remain on his Sunshine State vacation while New Jersey residents grapple with the aftermath of a devastating blizzard.

To make matters worse, Christie's Lieutant Governor Kim Guadagno is vacationing in Mexico, leaving Senate President Stephen Sweeny -- a Democrat -- in charge.

"We clearly made a mistake if we created the office lieutenant governor and wasted money if the lieutenant governor is not going to be here when the governor is out of state," New Jersey Democrat Sen. Raymond Lesniak told New Jersey's Star Ledger. "It's being handled very well by Sen. Sweeney, but you have to really question the purpose of the office."
Guadagno is the state's first lieutenant governor. She was in Mexico when the blizzard hit

New Jersey governor Chris Christie slammed for Disney vacation as state is buried in snowstorm

The Governor's in Florida, and the Lt. Gov. is in MEXICO!

Christie screwed up big time. He needs to man up, admit he was wrong and say it will never happen again. He would have insisted on it if someone else screwed up. Christie should have stayed home while the Lt Governor was in Mexico
