Can anyone lay out the math on this?

When the problem is that your labor cost has gone up, you don't secure more profit by laying off people unless your labor force is not working at full productivity. Especially when your competitors face the same disadvantage! Cutting your labor force ensures you get a smaller share of the market.

On the other hand if the problem is that demand for your product is lower, then your labor force while remaining the same size has less work to do, and in that case cutting the labor force makes a lot of sense because it will actually increase your profits (from what they would have been).

This is why I think all these claims are complete bullshit. These companies were going to lay people off anyway, they just want to blame the President.

I would, but you wouldn't pay attention, you don't like facts.

The problem is you are using a false premise, not everyone is faced with the same problems. Small businesses wanting to expand to meet demand are the ones that will suddenly be hit with the extra costs, large corporations have the economic cushion, and are already offering health plans that confirm to Obamacare demands. Most of them actually offer plans that will be taxed under Obamacare for providing too much coverage, which means they will actually be forced to reduce costs.

Your hospital Medicare admittance has just change under Obama Care. You must be admitted by your primary Physician in order for Medicare to pay for it! If you are admitted by an emergency room doctor it is treated as outpatient care where hospital costs are not covered. This is only the tip of the iceberg for Obama Care. Just wait to see what happen in 2013 & 2014!












Age 76Today, I went to the Dr. for my monthly B12 shot that I have been getting for a number of years. The nurse came and got me, got out the needle filled and ready to go then looked at the computer and got very quiet and asked if I was prepared to pay for it. I said no that my insurance takes care of it.



She said, that Medicare had turned it down and went to talk to my Dr. about it. 15 minutes later she came back and said, she was sorry but they had tried every-thing they could but Medicare is beginning to turn many things away for seniors because of the projected Obama Care coming in. She was brushing at tears and said, "Some day they too will get old", I am so very sorry!!
