The first atheist association in the Middle East

The first Atheist Association in Turkey is founded in the 2014.

This is not only the first atheist organisation in Turkey, but also the first one in the large region of Middle East and Caucasus. And the first one in a country with a predominantly Muslim population.

Thanks to the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Turkey is a secular country it has no formal religion on its constitution. But unfortunately, today Turkey has been being ruled by an government that has Islamic ideas.

But take note that, there is a non-religious community in the Turkey and it is growing quickly.
