In order to be even considered to work on a road you must be either a unionized construction company or pay the equivalent amount of pay/benefits as the average unionized construction company. By executive order of Barack Obama. Executive Order 13502. That way, instead of the tax payers getting the most bang for their buck in honest contract competition, where the lowest bidder gets the project, Obama gets to pay back his union buddies who helped get him elected. That stimulus money will no doubt translate to higher union dues receipts, and thus, more money for the unions to campaign against Obama's political enemies. It was one big circle jerk with the taxpayer on the hook. So in the end, we get less roads for more money with union workers who have no incentive to out preform their competition.
