Such operations existed as far back as 2008, but starting in 2010 they were expanded by an order of magnitude.

Yet at the same time, those in the Administration were saying that the Mexican Drug Cartel were getting automatic weapons at US Gun Shows in an effort to trample on the 2nd Amendment.

If the US government got zapped for send arms to the Contras in the 80's, the government should also be in trouble for doing almost the same thing with the Mexican Drug Cartel right?
