The left really believes that children belong to the state. It's mind-boggling how these people believe they can discipline private citizens for exercising their constitutional rights. Not only that - but look at the "logic" this nitwit used:
In a statement to the World-Herald, Messerole said, “I think we are in the spotlight now and I think it is up to us to be a model. We have to do something. This is not OK.”
So let me get this straight - because you feel that social media "put you in the spotlight", you think you need to take illegal action against students for exercising their constitutional rights? Especially on their own time.

But the chilling fascist oppression didn't stop there. This one is even scarier:
According to the newspaper, Creston Police Chief Paul Ver Meer said that the police department was not involved in the investigation, and that the school was handling the incident.

Union County Sheriff Rick Piel corroborated Ver Meer’s comments, and told The Associated Press that as far as he knows, “it’s all being handled by the school.”

We’ve spoken to the county attorney, and we can’t come up with a charge,” Piel said.
Do you notice how he worded that? "We can't come up with a charge". They are literally trying to find something to charge these children with. That should be chilling to every American (and it will be to those that are actually educated). They are actively searching for an angle to go after children because they exercised their constitutional rights.

Do you know why you can't "come up with" a charge, Rick Piel? Because what these children did was 100% legal. Just because you fascists don't like something doesn't mean you can stop others from doing it.

If I were one of their parents - I would hit the school district with the mother of all lawsuits.

No problem when kids take photos holding BB guns and wads of one dollar bills, mimicking their gangsta rap icons. Or goth kids influenced by marilyn manson posing in cemeteries trying to look like satan worshipers. Teenagers have been doing stuff like this forever, embracing edgy stuff to rebel against authority. The more fuddy duddy adults tell rebellious kids that certain things are off limits...

Do you have any idea what Fascism is, pat?
From the Wikipedia page:
"Fascism is an authoritarian or totalitarian nationalist political ideology. Fascists seek to organize a nation according to corporatist perspectives, values, and systems, including the political system and the economy."
This, of course, is a pretty good description of the Republican dogma, and has nothing 'progressive' about it.
You should find some other epithet to hang on those with whom you disagree.

Wikipedia isn't a reliable source of information.

So you throw in the term "Corporatist" and this then means they are right wing? Who created the corporate structure? Was it not the state? The state created the corporate structure for the betterment of the state, to empower it. Even though the state may not own the corporate structure by name, they still can exercise great control over it. Hitler was a prime example. Hitler said, "Why nationalize industry when you can nationalize the people?" Hitler knew that he was no CEO, so it was better left to the professionals. Instead, he let them do their thing and dictated to them how they would help his cause of world conquest and creating a police state. They all dutifully complied.

In short, the corporate entity is about power and control. It is centralizing business that is controlled by government.

Too bad for him that Hitler also did not have the same respect for his generals as he did his CEO's. Had he let Rommel and his generals run things he may have actually won the war.

Reads like an accurate description of the Democrat Party platform.

Just saying......

Dims fancy themselves as libertarian socialists. On the one hand, they want all the freedom in the world to take drugs and have sex, then turn around and want the state to run the economy and to destroy a free market.

The translation, they want a top down centralize police state when it comes to you and your money, which essentially means a police state if you consider what it would take to monitor and control ever single financial transaction.

To justify their cause, they will constantly employ the terms, "justice" and "fairness".

C. S. Lewis sums it up best.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”

Most don't know this but the Boston Tea Party was not over higher taxes for tea. No, it was over the monopoly that a British corporation was making for tea in America. For you see, the British used this corporation called the East Indies comapany to subdue nations, they even had their own armies. Tea prices actually went up after the British attempt to monopolize tea failed in the US. Corporations are merely a source of control and economic centralization for a centralized state.

It's bad enough the right wing conservatives, alt-right, and white supremacists are tools of 'dark money' but come on fools at least learn what terms mean. Fascism is of the right, even an old hero to the far right acknowledged that, Adolph hated liberals and communists same as you suckers. Hate gives meaning to the uneducated. At least take the time to learn what words mean, then when you say stupid nonsense it will at least have some semblance of education attached.

"The differences between Communism and Fascism are far from semantic - indeed, those differences are quite real and represent one of the most dramatic struggles of the twentieth century. Far from being at its base similar, Fascism (and its related "isms," chiefly National Socialism) is best understood as a reactionary opposition against Communism. Fascism came into being as a movement bent on destroying the Communists and Socialists, making the locus of collective struggle the nation and/or race rather than socioeconomic class."

Has anyone bothered to speak to these kids and try and educate them on how stupid their actions were? If some morons are going to engage in these activities, it's clear they are poorly informed and at the very least should understand the real consequences of hate.

Silencing speech isn't an answer, it will only drive hate underground and might manifest itself into something worse. I do think though, that their actions should be condemned and the school can openly denounce them as not having anything to do with them. If hateful expression were illegal, how many Hollywood movies would have been censored and or "banned"? It's a fine line, and even ill informed idiots can have an opinion. Even if wrong.

The Supreme Court made it clear that schools can disciple kids for what happens outside of school time . They have a duty to create a safe atmosphere at school.

Kids don't have the same con rights at school . They are not free to say whatever they want or refuse searchers for example .

Don't like it? Then homeschool your little racist monster .

I know you love the KKK but these football players do represent the school and if they get punished so be it...

This happens more often with college football players and pro athletes yet Pattyrot says nothing when a business or college does it..

They used their free speech just like Kaepernick did, look how he is treated..
