The fascinating sex life of Jonathan, the 185-year-old giant tortoise

Straight? Gay? Bisexual? He may be about 185 years old, but the years have clearly done little to quell the sexual appetite of Jonathan, the famous giant tortoise who resides on the remote South Atlantic island of St. Helena.

Jonathan, the world’s oldest living land animal, has been in the spotlight recently after the Times reported that Frederica, the tortoise he has been “wooing” for the last 26 years, may actually be a ‘Frederic’.

The animals reportedly became smitten in 1991 when then 8 week-old Frederica was presented to the then governor of the British Overseas Territory. There is now, however, a question mark over Frederica’s gender.

Jonathan, 2019 - 187 years old, but still… (with Emma){d} (a real female)

But late into his eighties, Jonathan became irritable and began knocking over benches and interrupting cricket games between residents on the lawn in front of the governor’s Georgian mansion.

Vets decided he needed a girlfriend and in 1991 he was given a mate. Romance blossomed with Frederica and it wasn’t long before the couple began enjoying regular mating sessions every Sunday morning, The Times reported. But despite their amorous antics, the pair never had any young. Now, almost three decades after the romance began, the reason has been revealed. When vets went to repair a lesion on the tortoise’s shell it was discovered that Frederica was actually a Frederic, putting a whole new spin on the relationship.

To quote Gary Busey:

"Holy jumped up bald headed jesus palomino!"

Look everyone, now they're trying to prove it with reptiles. Next comes the children's storybook, right?

No tortises do not ass fuck. Animals and even reptiles will bond when they are the only ones.

You might not want to read this article then.
Homosexual behavior in animals - Wikipedia
You might want to reread it. It quite clearly says that animals might exhibit homosexual behavior. They aren't actually homosexuals. They are rather like men in prison for a long time. They might engage in in homosexual acts because there are no females. They are not homosexuals.

As your article clearly states homosexuality as a sexual orientation is a rarity. Indeed. It might not even exist at all.

How would you know what is in their minds? Are you talking to them?

Play mediaMale lions mating
Both male and female lions have been seen to interact homosexually.[81][82] Male lions pair-bond for a number of days and initiate homosexual activity with affectionate nuzzling and caressing, leading to mounting and thrusting. About 8% of mountings have been observed to occur with other males. Pairings between females are held to be fairly common in captivity but have not been observed in the wild.

You want to be deliberately stupid. Okay. You can do that. It's your cognition. You don't understand what you are reading.

It says that lions MAY INTERACT HOMOSEXUALLY. They do not have a homosexual orientation. A male lion will not avoid a female in heat because that male wants to fuck another male's ass. Our understanding of sexual orientation simply cannot be applied to animals.

You know I just heard this on the morning radio about a tortoise is the longest living land animal, and I looked him up to see if it was true and of course it was, so I read about him.

I do not care what animals or humans are homosexual, it does not bother or concern me one way or another.

Its you who does not understand what they are reading.

If you don't care one way or another why did you bother making the post? You are the OP. You must have had something in mind.
