Liberals like to use a false analogy to compare Jesus entering Egypt to illegals entering America.

Jesus was being hunted by government forces who were ordered by their king (Herod) to KILL him. In fact, the government was engaged in mass genocide against infant males. If such a thing were occurring today, without a doubt, the U.S. government would rightfully grant asylum status to Jesus and others in his situation.

Migrants from places like Mexico and central America are NOT running for their lives from nefarious government forces or anyone else. True, there are probably some exceptions but 99.9999% of people who are ILLEGALLY in America today are simply seeking a better lot in life.

So, help enlighten the next liberal who ignorantly parrots this rubbish.

Lol, rubbish? It's true. Baby Jesus would have been taken from Mary and Joseph and locked in a chain link cage. Then he would be outsourced to a foster system and lost.

Today's religious right are about as far from christian as you can get.

1) I've never heard of any liberal making this analogy.

2) This assumes you are working off the Nativity Myth in Matthew, as opposed to the completely contradictory one in Luke. Okay, I'll play along.

3) No record that Herod ever ordered the execution of all babies. The writer of Matthew was plagiarizing Exodus.

But to the point. A lot of these people are fleeing civil wars, drug gangs, and other bad situations in their home countries. So that would make them just like Mythical Jesus.

If there’s one thing Jesus stood, it was opposition against people seeking a better lot in life
