Now "Jaws" is a very different story. I grew up six blocks from the Pacific Ocean and started 'tube' surfing at age 12 (1959). Soon we got surf boards and later began to dive for abalone. Two nights after watching "Jaws" I went out for Abs at Salt Point (Sonoma Coast, Ca.) and for the first time felt "nerves". I have never been comfortable under the water since seeing the movie. Of course, I watch "Shark Week" on Discovery every year and the area we dive (or use to dive) is in the heart of the "Crimson Triangle": Sonoma Coast, the Farallon Islands and the San Mateo/Santa Cruz County. Line.
