The Evidence is In!

The evidence is in and here it is. All of them are running for office and don't give a rat's A abut the voters. They pass laws that are wonderful for us common folk but they have better laws for them Obama care is an example. They get full pay for life after one term of office, even the Unions don't get that good.

Now who is to blame?

We are we have elected a bunch of immoral fools to run our country and we are seeing the result.

It was announced this morning that a lot of illegals are returning to Mexico because they can get jobs with companies that our congressmen have run out of the country.

They get full pay for life after one term of office.............................................................

SAY WHAT? I have heard this before and havent been able to link it. Would you please?

Why does the Right keep repeating the lie that Obama didn't focus enough on the economy?

For the same reason they repeat all the other lies: try to see what you can get to stick to the wall.
Honestly, I believe the majority of this post only makes sense to conservative ideologues.

It's pretty much nonsense to anyone else. It's like when Theologians discuss scripture. They're just so familiar with their own little language that the points of reference and idioms are lost on outsiders.

Indeed and well said.

Pointless, subjective, dogma – just as religion.

Ahhhh, Jonesy...

....are you still holding a grudge?

You actually sound offended that there are folks who don't march in lockstep with you...

...oh, right, you're a Liberal, and that's pretty much the hallmark.

Grow up.

Let me ask you this first?

Why wouldn't you know already?

"the making work pay credit 400 or 800 a year for 2 years"

Yeah, giving people a temporary tax credit isn't going to encourage economic growth.
I think you're right to not brag about those "tax cuts".

They were a stupid waste of money when Bush did them, they're a stupid waste of money when Obama does them.

There's no such thing as a permanent tax cut.

In that case, Obama is doomed.

Well, we know you fascist democrats have intellects on par with Lindsay Lohan, Matt Damon and Charlie Sheen. That grown up talk confounds you is pretty much expected.

The only thing he understands is "OMG! Obama is the bestest President EVAR!!"

Yup, conservatives can only wish being as bright and intelligent as the liberals.

On this board we regularly and continuously argue about Ronald Reagan, and the efficacy of conservative versus liberal economomic policy...but, thank to Barack Obama, the evidence is in, and it is definitive.

Nobody dices and slices better than George Will...and this is a must-read:

1. "The debt-ceiling impasse has, as things generally do, ended, and a post-mortem validates conservatives’ portrayal of Barack Obama and their dismay about the dangers and incompetence of liberalism’s legacy, the regulatory state.

2. For weeks, you could not fling a brick in Washington without hitting someone with a debt-reduction plan — unless you hit Obama, whose plan, which he intimated was terrifically brave, was never put on paper.

3. By affirming liberalism’s lodestar — the principle that government’s grasp on national resources must constantly increase — Obama made himself a spectator in a Washington more conservative than it was during the Reagan presidency.

4. Obama annoyed liberals. They indict him for apostasy from their one-word catechism, “More!” ...said that failure to raise the ceiling would mean apocalypse...

5. Panic-mongers warned, “Raise the ceiling lest the stock market experience a TARP convulsion.” Yes, the market declined almost 778 points when the House rejected the Troubled Assets Relief Program. But who remembered that after TARP was quickly enacted, in the next five months the market lost an additional 3,800 points?

6. ...the Tea Party has demonstrated that the limits are elastic under the pressure of disciplined and durable passion. As Tom Brokaw said in Washington on “Meet the Press” last Sunday, the debt-ceiling drama ended as it did because the Tea Party got angry, got organized and got here.

7. Obama’s presidency may last 17 or 65 more months, but it has been irreversibly neutered by two historic blunders made at its outset. It defined itself by health-care reform most Americans did not desire, rather than by economic recovery. And it allowed, even encouraged, self-indulgent liberal majorities in Congress to create a stimulus that confirmed conservatism’s portrayal of liberalism as an undisciplined agglomeration of parochial appetites. This sterile stimulus discredited stimulus as a policy.

8. Obama’s 2012 problem is that he dare not run as a liberal but cannot run from his liberalism."The debt deal and Obama’s 2012 problem - The Washington Post

Agreed--the young have been indoctrinated by public workers--either school teachers or college professors--who get their pay-checks from the taxpayers of this nation.

Ironically--it is they--the young of this country that are having the hardest time finding a job--under the socialist policies that they have supported--and voted for.

I made no comment on the intelligence level of the poster, or the author of the article quoted.

I simply made a point that conservatives like Will are speaking a language that people outside the world of right-wing philosophy don't speak.

It's a strange language of Orwellian double-speak. But more importantly it is a language of premises that are based on pre-existing conservative notions, that are based on other conservative theories.

Was that "intellectual speak"--because it was about as clear as MUD--

The Debt Ceiling "Crisis" was total manufactured BS, did NOTHING, and caused more damage to the world economy than anything in years. Pub dupes are brainwashed morons. The evidence is in...

Absolutely!

1. Recall what Rahm let slip: using a crisis? Well they did, and gave us another $2 trillion in debt.

2. The ineptitude of the current administration is plain to see. But beyond the incompetence is something far worse…

Insight into the problem was provided in the book, “As We Go Marching,” by John T. Flynn.

I would call Flynn a journalist, except for the disrepute the name carries with it. Instead, I call Flynn a seer. Read this passage from his book, written in 1944 about the FDR administrtion, and you will agree.

“It is born in crisis, lives on crisis, and cannot survive the era of crisis. By the very law of its nature it must create for itself, if it is to continue, fresh crises from year to year. …And our future is all charted out upon the same turbulent road of permanent crisis.”

The "crisis" gambit still works.
There are still folks on this board who think that the United States was about to go into default.

I kind of liked one episode--where some city was offered help with their utility bills--and people were fighting in line--and one woman stated--"I'm here to get some of that Obama money"--

And borrowing and spending 1 trillion taxpayer dollars to supposedly create millions of private sector jobs and keep unemployment from rising above 8.2% is the biggest whopper-of all-

Actually, it's based on reality. I can understand why you'd have a hard time understanding it.
