The Emancipation of Massachusetts from the Democratic regime

Richard Gallerani, 50, a truck driver and independent from Plymouth, wanted change. “This is the emancipation of Massachusetts from the Democratic regime that there has been since Ted Kennedy,” he declared. “We need some balance.”

Martha Coakley and Scott Brown fight to the finish - BostonHerald.com

Some very thoughtful comments from an average working class independent- "We need some balance".

I just saw a DEMOCRATIC poster stating that independents which make up the majority of the vote out there have split for Brown 2-1, to 3-1 and that he has captured 25% of the DEMOCRATIC vote. We will see, but don't take anything for granted, you Brown voters need to get out and vote, please, please please and I will continue to pray for a Brown win.:eusa_pray::eusa_pray::eusa_pray:

I'll take the MA Revolution seriously when they kick out clowns like Barney Frank and Deval Patrick.
MA has elected the worst politicians, at least as far back as Dukakis. Their gun laws are worse than CA.To think it's all going to change in one election is wishful in the extreme.
But it might be a good sign that enough really is enough.

I'm not sure a big government Republican potentially beating a big government Democrat counts as "emancipation."

A Brown win would end the filibuster proof senate that the liberal democrats in power currently enjoy.

We can work on Barney Frank later, Leader of the mortgage banking crisis, leading us off the cliff to the collapse of our banking system under his direction and direct supervision.:clap2:

Fact: If the "Liberal Democrats" in Congress truly did have a filibuster proof senate, Health Care Reform would of been passed long ago.

But hey, don't let facts get in your way.

Check your facts dogbert, they HAVE a FILIBUSTER PROOF senate. It's the democratic senators and congressmen who are throwing the fits about their own bill. Of course, they have had little say about what's in it, because it has been written in the back rooms by Pelosi, Reid and Obama. Hell, the democrats don't even know what's in it, because they have not been a part of it. It's been hidden from them as well as it's been hidden from the public.

If Brown wins won't the Dems just go for the reconciliation process to pass, er shove, HC?

The entire "magical 60 votes" is bullshit if the Democrats grew a spine.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reconciliation_(United_States_Congress

Until 1996, reconciliation was limited to deficit reduction, but in 1996 the Senate's Republican majority adopted a precedent to apply reconciliation to any legislation affecting the budget, even legislation that would increase the deficit.[3]

Under the administration of President George W. Bush, Congress used reconciliation to enact three major tax cuts. These tax cuts were set to lapse after 10 years to satisfy the Byrd Rule. Efforts to use reconciliation to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling failed.

Well then what about this??????????? Liebermann is an independent and votes primarily democratic and he did again on this one.

Senate Passes Health Care Reform: A Victory for the American People

December 24, 2009 —The United States Senate witnessed an historic moment this morning, AS 60 DEMOCRATIC SENATORS cast their votes in favor of passing health reform legislation. This bill's passage has been supported by at least six decades of advocacy from supporters of reform who understand the cost of inaction on this critical issue. Noting the historic nature of this morning's vote, Senator Chris Dodd remarked, "This is the most important bill to improve the economic security of our middle class in a generation. And none of us will ever cast a more important vote." Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid - who led his colleagues through months of deliberations said, "For thousands of Nevadans and millions of Americans, this is not just a remarkable moment in the history of the country - this news is truly life-changing. We are a step closer to promoting a health system that values quality of care over profit. I look forward to working with our friends in the House so we can send a final bill to President Obama as soon as possible."

60 IS THE FILLIBUSTER PROOF NUMBER.

The Republicans hold 40 seats, Brown would be the 41st vote and capable of blocking any of the radical agenda that is coming out of the WH. It would force better legislation over health care and everything else. Why do you think Obama traveled to Massachusetts today?? He wants to keep his filibuster senate in tact.

Here are some more facts for you Dogbert.:cuckoo:

Al Franken declared winner of Minnesota Senate race, giving Democrats filibuster-proof majority

Democrat Al Franken defeated Republican Norm Coleman in Minnesota’s U.S. Senate race and is entitled to the seat, the state Supreme Court ruled after an eight-month post-election battle.

Adding Franken, 58, to the Senate would give Democrats the 60 votes needed to overcome any Republican filibuster on legislation

Oh, so your mad now????:lol::lol: Proven wrong again.:lol: Well you are gonna love this one. Another comparison between Jimmy Carter and President Obama, not only are they both recipients of the " Nobel Peace Prize," not only are they both liberals, they both worked with a fillibuster proof senate. You know what happened to Jimmy, don't ya??? No second term. It appears that having a fillibuster proof senate might not be too healthy for the President. Maybe, he should re-think his trip to Massachusetts, but it's too late for that.

Democrats Vie for Filibuster-Proof Senate - ABC News

The so-called super-majority would allow Democrats to prevent Republicans from slowing or stopping legislation. The last time there was a filibuster-proof Senate was more than 30 years ago in 1977, during President Jimmy Carter's administration.

I'm not angry, you truly just have no clue what you're talking about.

And while your comparing Obama and Carter make me yawn, as there can be just as many between Obama and Reagan.

Also, Obama may be a Liberal as a senator. But since taking office, he hasn't been a Liberal. But again, facts elude you.

Obama and Reagan have a lot in common?????:lol::lol::lol: Would you care to explain that one.:lol::lol::lol::lol: Obama was a liberal as a senator, you must mean the entire 150 days he spent as a U. S senator and he is not one now. I really axiously await your reply. This is a hoooooooooooooooooot!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
